New L.A. Guns Ballad Streaming

We got a hot one! L.A. Guns just released a new ballad called "Christine." It's another song off the upcoming album The Missing Peace. This song sounds like classic L.A. Guns to me. So far, The Missing Peace is one of my most anticipated albums of the year.

Weakest of the bunch of new tunes from them thus far. Doesn't however diminish my excitement for the new release.

Hey, so where do they miss the boat here, guys? It's in the lack of irony and pathos you know these two are capable of. The song has good bones and you here in your "mind's ears" what could have made this song:

1) Better Lyrics
2) Punch in the "heavy" 80's style crunch chords which are a hallmark of any great power ballad

Despite what it lacks, this track is somewhat redeemed by some impressive signature noodling from Tracii, who seems to be channeling what sounds a little like some sort of spiritual offspring of Hendrix and Page.

But in the end, quite literally, this track never takes off the way one keeps listening for it to do.
