Terrible News For Judas Priest Fans

Glenn Tipton of Judas Priest has Parkinson's disease and will no longer tour with the band. I keep repeating this like a broken record: see all your musical heroes while you still can. Nothing much else to add here. It feels like another gut punch.

Such a shame. Won't be the same without him there. I might just pass on this tour.

Sad news. Already have my ticket for the Copenhagen show in June (with Megadeth opening) but he'll be missed up there on stage for sure.

Phuck me 😩 Everything I've ever read about him in various biographies of others pegs him as one of the coolest,easy going guys in the business. I was fortunate enough to see the iconic lineup in 1978 with Angel. What a show that was. I know Glenn lied his "snow". I sometimes wonder if all the partying over the years expidites the onslaught of the horrible diseases. This just sucks....

Sad news indeed. I wonder if some of those keyboard knuckle draggers who slagged Tipton in recent years feel even a tinge of regret. The fact that he kept this private and soldiered on for so many years is completely understandable and an indicator of the person he is.

He certainly will be missed playing live. Faulkner is no slouch replacing KK. And I am sure Sneap will do a fine job. But this is another one of those sad events to file in the "time" category. Alas, and again, Metal Gods are only human.

I wish him, and Priest, the best as he deals with this.

This news really got to me - I guess it makes me face my own mortality - Everyone has an expiration date but it doesn't make it any easier. As Gary stated I have really never heard anything bad about Glenn and was looking forward to seeing them on this tour now not so much... On a high note looking forward to K.K.'s book.

I saw Priest a couple of years ago in Orlando and couldn’t figure out why Tipton was letting Faulkner do all the heavy lifting when I recalled him throughout the years in virtual 50/50 trade offs with K.K. and I’ve been somewhat mystified since then.

Until now. God Bless and God Speed, Glenn Tipton. Thank you so much for the memorable music in my life and that of others. I can’t wait to hear the firepower your going to bring with “Firepower”!
