Is Mick Mars Great? Is Water Wet?

Happy Friday! Today's post is from our friend HIM.

This is one of two posts where I thought I had discovered something, only to find other sources were already chomping on it.

But what a topic:

Mars rode the Crue for all it was worth. He (must have) put up with a lot. He deals with the pains of older age (he is 63 or 67, depending on the source) and ankylosing spondylitis (a person close to me also has this disease) with pluck and charm.

When you hear him, you know it is him. I am no musician, but you know. So the idea that he will be putting together something soon is awesome. He won’t lose this fan. I hope he keeps all of them and gains a few more.

Metal needs people like Robert Alan Deal. Long live Mick Mars!

"I was actually auditioning them, they just didn't know it". Mick is the man. Always was and always will be. He's the real Deal. (See what I did there Him? Cue the rimshot... lmao)

Great article - I can't wait to hear what he puts out - I think he got dissed a bunch in the early years by the "Guitar" media much like C.C DeVille but IMO he is one of the greats.

WOW! Thanks for sharing l, HIM!

Real “Deal”, indeed, boyz!

Something tells me his solo album is going to be a juggernaut, making clownswork out of Sixx’s joke band, Sixx: A.M., SLASH featuring Miles Long Name Band, Slaughter featuring Blimp Neil, etc., and ALL of the newer acts we revere on here!

Leave it to the #1 Bada*s of Metal to lay down the gauntlet with his upcoming album. Can GNR and AC/DC put out new albums as good? Let’s put it this way - - when Mars’ album hits the streets, it’s either gonna inspire those acts or put the mortal fear of The Metal Godz in them!
