Here's The Official Video For 'Rage'

The other day we talked about the new L.A. Guns tune "Rage." Now the band has dropped the official video for the track. It's a concert clip and sort of makes you feel right at the show. I like that bands still make videos. I guess at this point they are just for sharing on social media. They certainly never show up on television anymore.

Here’s a video that’s both bad and good at the same time ... Good for every frame of Tracii Gun’s live performance.

Bad for the footage that looks like a band member’s girlfriend or one of the roadies shot it.

The bad is SO BAD, they actually had to recycle a few of the shots because they were too lazy to shoot a few more scenes to edit it in.

I get the whole homespun candid self-shot social media vibe but at least have the decency to shoot the hell out of it so you have enough footage.

How dare they be so lazy so as to disrespect the name of the legendary Tracii Guns with such half-a*sed lame-o video filming and editing!

Such a crime!

Prove me wrong, but it looks like an inside job to me!

Jesus Christ, metalboy... it's 2019.

Bands do not have money.

The video wouldn't get played on any network if it was "Thriller", because there is no network playing videos. The whole point of this is to get it up on YouTube / websites etc to showcase the song, so that people can steal the album or, beast case scenario, stream it so the band can get paid $0.0001

I have preordered the CD, really stoked for this one.

I'm with Mike on this one. There are not a lot of options these days. This is pure promotion, even if it ain't stellar. Get some clicks, get some buys, and hope a few more people by some merch after paying to see them live. Rinse and repeat.

Hell fire, does it really even matter? Most ppl that have ever liked this band seem to like the new music, no matter what, as long as Tracii & Phil are both in the band. I guess for them, as long as those 2 are in the band, even if they play folk music, those ppl are such fanboys that they're gonna hail it as the second coming of Cocked & Loaded or the self titled, regardless of how generic sounding or rhythmless it may be.

Mike & HIM ...

Boyz, Boyz, Boyz!

I’m NOT saying they need to shoot “Thriller 2”.

All I’m pointing out is they could have done this better and it’s lame to settle for this kind of half a*sed quality when you’ve got a legend like Tracii Guns as a subject.

It doesn’t cost any more to shoot and edit a video with this kind of look and feel but do it right.
