Apollo 50th

Today is the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. Apollo 11 landed on the moon and Neil Armstrong made those famous first steps. Seems fitting to remember today and play a little moon music too.

The camera shows proof of the first step on the moon.
My question is -
Who set up the camera?

Talk about going deep, Texjay and BK, let us not forget Bad Moon Rising (not the Creedence Clearwater song, though that is legit).

I’m talking about Bad Moon Rising, Doug Aldrich’s band he formed with vocalist Kal Swan after they performed together in LION. Bad Moon Rising’s other founding members, bass player, Ian Mayo and drummer, Jackie Ramos, previously played together in Hericane Alice and Bangalore Choir. Kal Swan previously sang for Tytan, part of the NWOBHM.

Big in Japan, Bad Moon Rising had a pretty nice run from 1990 to 1998. Check ‘em out if you haven’t already.

p.s. FYI — All the bands mentioned here — LION, Hericane Alice, Bangalore Choir, Tytan and Bad Moon Rising frickin’ ROCK!!!

I saw ‘em at CBGB’s, JCD!

One of the greatest, funniest, most KILLER shows I ever witnessed. Nothing short of brilliant!

p.s. Good to know you appreciate their CD, BK!

Metalboy, LSD at CBGB's, extra nice! I never saw them, they never got down this way that I know of except for maybe Atlanta and Florida. My best friend had the cassette and we wore it out, the only thing we could find anything out about them was through Metal Edge and some other dying rock mag at the time. Of course by the time you got any info from a rock mag it was already over a month old. That's called pre-internet young ones.

Wow, MB. How were they??? The lead singer looks like he would be nuts, live. Almost like a mini GG Allin, sans the idiocy. Lol
