Apollo 50th
50 years ago today, people around the globe gathered at their radios & televisions to join two humans as they landed on the Moon for the first time. As they took one small step, a giant leap was accomplished. Relive and understand this #Apollo50th moment: https://t.co/hjMvyVMKVy pic.twitter.com/aPS1GyUY81

LIFE The Moon Landing: 50 Years Later
50 years ago today, Apollo 11 landed on the Moon, thanks to the work of mathematician Katherine Johnson, who calculated its launch windows and who is celebrating her 101st birthday next month https://t.co/k46kYvvzmj #Apollo50th pic.twitter.com/9HVI0QWcNr

You can’t commemorate the #Apollo50th moon landing without honoring & remembering the man who sent us there.

I’m talking about Bad Moon Rising, Doug Aldrich’s band he formed with vocalist Kal Swan after they performed together in LION. Bad Moon Rising’s other founding members, bass player, Ian Mayo and drummer, Jackie Ramos, previously played together in Hericane Alice and Bangalore Choir. Kal Swan previously sang for Tytan, part of the NWOBHM.
Big in Japan, Bad Moon Rising had a pretty nice run from 1990 to 1998. Check ‘em out if you haven’t already.
p.s. FYI — All the bands mentioned here — LION, Hericane Alice, Bangalore Choir, Tytan and Bad Moon Rising frickin’ ROCK!!!
One of the greatest, funniest, most KILLER shows I ever witnessed. Nothing short of brilliant!
p.s. Good to know you appreciate their CD, BK!
