Hardcore Superstar premiers new song 'Ain’t Mean Shit'

Hardcore Superstar just released a new track as a sneak preview from their new album. The song ”Ain’t Mean Shit” is the opening track of the new album titled HCSS, which is set to hit the stores 22nd of April this year. The band also released dates for an upcoming Europe tour, where they are suppose to be playing the entire new album before its release.

The song itself is a pretty standard Hardcore Superstar-song, I guess. I’m always happy to hear new stuff from them, but it doesn’t make me particularly excited to hear the new album. Maybe it needs to grow on me? What do you guys think of it?

Hardcore Superstar just finished a mini-tour of Sweden together with H.E.A.T, Smash Into Pieces, Outtrigger and Crunge. I had the pleasure of seeing them in Stockholm last week and a review will follow shortly.

Dee Snider Goes Off On Twitter

Twitter is the go-to platform for celebrities to engage in battles with Internet trolls these days. Sometimes the celebs aren't even responding to trolls, but stirring up a battle all on their own. Dee Snider likes to speak - and tweet - his mind. Yesterday, he took on Doug Aldrich and Whitesnake. It got a little heated!

Is Def Leppard Touring America This Summer?

Def Leppard is touring Canada and Europe this spring and summer, but what about U.S. dates?

Later on in the summer, the Leps will be joined by Styx and Tesla for a show at the Minnesota State Fair. That date is August 27. They will also play the Great Allentown Fair on September 1. While no more US dates have officially been announced, I expect more soon. After all, Def Leppard loves the summer shed tours - and I love to go see them play live!

'Miracles Out Of Nowhere'

Documentaries about rock bands are big right now. The documentary of Kansas comes out March 24. It is called Miracles Out of Nowhereand a preview is below. I've been a fan of Kansas for a long time - WEBN in Cincinnati played them constantly when I was a kid and I bet they still do. "Carry On Wayward Son!"

Chip Z'nuff Releases New Video

Straight from my email inbox - an interesting bit of PR today.

Chip Z'nuff released a video for "Rockstar" on YouTube as his for solo album, STRANGE TIME, drops via Deadline Music. The video is a scenery-filled, dreamy trip around Amsterdam.

The 10-track record marks a departure from the trademark Enuff Z’nuff trip-pop sound, with heavier guitars and more psychedelic elements.  In addition to special guest appearances, the album includes a bonus 5-track EP collaboration with Steven Adler (Guns ‘n Roses).

Having played bass for both Dale Bozzio (Missing Persons) and Adler (Adler’s Appetite), Z’nuff knew they’d contribute something truly unique (Z’nuff calls Adler’s drumming “incendiary”). Home state  legend Robin Zander lends his pipes to “All Day and All of the Night.”  Geezer Butler’s son, Biff, sings on “Rockstar.”
