The Rock Hall Nominees Are Crap

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse... well, it has. The newest crop of Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame nominees is just terrible. Here is the list:

  • The Paul Butterfield Blues Band
  • Chic
  • Green Day
  • Joan Jett & the Blackhearts
  • Kraftwerk
  • The Marvelettes
  • N.W.A
  • Nine Inch Nails
  • Lou Reed
  • The Smiths
  • The Spinners
  • Sting
  • Stevie Ray Vaughan
  • War
  • Bill Withers

Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lou Reed and Sting are automatic inductions at this point I think. The rest? Not so much. I seriously can't believe this is the cream of the crop. The final selections will be  announced in December and inducted on April 18 in Cleveland. Thoughts?

The New Crazy Lixx Album Will Rock

Crazy Lixx will release a new album on November 11. The band is one of my Swedish faves, unabashedly Glam and proud of it! Crazy Lixx has a different lineup these days versus their debut, but I like what I hear below. I'll be getting this album for sure.

'Heart of Fire,' Black Veil Brides -- New Video

Black Veil Brides just released a very 80s inspired video for their new song "Heart of Fire." The clip sort of reminds me of Motley Crue mixed with Bonham mixed with... well, I'm not sure. The song is on the upcoming self-titled album due October 28th.

12 Year Old Rocks Classic Scorpions Tune For Live Audience

Drummer Nea Forslund, all of 12 years old, just had the thrill of a lifetime at a recent Uli Jon Roth gig in Denmark. Uli welcomed the girl to the stage to sit in on "Hell Cat" and basically, it's awesome. Give Nea a decade, she'll be selling rock albums of her own band.

Steel Panther Release New Video

Surprise! Steel Panther just dropped a video for their song "Pussywhipped" from their new album All You Can Eat. I literally have nothing to add - learn everything you need to know about this one by watching the clip. If you're lucky, you'll catch Steel Panther on tour with Judas Priest. The tour isn't coming anywhere near me, but if you get a chance to see both bands on the same bill, take it!
