The Burden Of Being Wonderful

Steel Panther just released a video for the single "The Burden of Being Wonderful." The song is on the upcoming album All You Can Eat. I have to say, I love it. Actually, this is my favorite Steel Panther song yet.

Coldwell Banker, Motley Crue and 'Home Sweet Home'

Look for a new Coldwell Banker commercial during 56th annual Grammy awards this Sunday night. The real estate firm is using Motley Crue's "Home Sweet Home" in a new ad campaign. Props to the Crue for cashing in nice where royalties are concerned. The ad was created by Siltanen & Partners.

Also, Metallica will perform during the Grammy telecast and I'm looking forward to seeing some rock music during the show for a change!

Red Dragon Cartel Release New Video

Jake E. Lee's Red Dragon Cartel just released a video for the track "Deceived." The song is on the band's forthcoming self-titled debut. You can pick up that debut on Jan. 28.

I noticed some people online complaining that the track sounds too much like Ozzy's "Bark at the Moon." Personally, I don't see how that could be considered a bad thing!

Classic Rock Still Sells

Companies continue to rely on classic rock to sell products. Enter Yoplait Yogurt. I was getting ready for work the other day, and heard Boston's "More Than A Feeling" coming from the TV in the other room. I assumed the song was being used to hock this or that, but I didn't think much more about it... until yesterday. Because of the holiday, I was off work and happened to be watching TV in the middle of the day. On came a Yoplait commercial for Boston Cream Pie yogurt, set to "More Than A Feeling."

Yoplait sure must sell a ton of Boston Cream Pie yogurt to make the licensing on "More Than A Feeling" affordable!

Discuss Scorpion Child

All bands pay tribute to their influences, but Austin, Texas based Scorpion Child might be taking that notion to a whole new level. It's one thing to be a modern band with a throwback sound. It's quite another to be a modern band with a genuine classic sound so authentic, the Led Zeppelin comparisons are actually legitimate.

Scorpion Child just released a full-fledged, self-titled debut and I have to say I'm impressed. Then again, I'm a classic rock lover of the highest order. Let me know what you think.

The Relapse Symphony -- New Glam

Here's some new Glam for you on this winter Sunday. Meet The Relapse Symphony, a newish band from Washington, D.C. The band cites the Sunset Strip bands we love - as well as newer acts like My Chemical Romance - as major influences.

If you like what you hear, pick up The Relapse Symphony's debut EP Time's Running Out on iTunes.
