'Christmas Isn't Christmas' -- Official Video

Well, here it is: the official video for Bon Jovi's holiday song "Christmas Isn't Christmas." The lyric video came out a couple weeks ago and I figured that was all we would get. A nice holiday surprise!

'Christmas Isn't Christmas' -- Bon Jovi

Right on the heels of the new Buckcherry Christmas song comes a new holiday tune from Bon Jovi. Called "Christmas Isn't Christmas," the song is available now for download. Honestly, I find the track pretty melancholy, but I'm sure it has a different meaning to each listener.

At any rate, maybe this will get some radio play to combat the endless Mariah Carey hysteria over the next six weeks.

How Long Before The Bon Jovi Reunion Happens?

Bon Jovi will celebrate 40 years as a band very soon - and former guitarist Richie Sambora is talking about a reunion.

Sambora made the comment during a recentPeople magazine interview. Of course, Sambora left the band a decade ago and has continually said he didn't want to rejoin. Now, all that has changed and you have to believe there have been lots of behind-the-scenes conversations with the rest of Jovi on this front. So - do Jon and Richie get together for a "public" meeting at a coffee house or something? Will there be a press conference or just a website countdown with the eventual tour announcement? Watch this space.

Bon Jovi, Pro-Shot 'Concert For America'

It is Patriot Day in America. The day is an observance of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Twenty-two years on and the folks who lived through that day can remember it just like yesterday. We all remember where we were - what we were doing - who we were with.

Flags will be at half-staff for the remembrance, per the official Presidential Proclamation.

After the tragedy, there was a feeling of wanting to do... something to help. So Hollywood got together and performed for first responders and raised money for them and their family members. One of the best performances from The Concert For New York City was from Bon Jovi. The October 2001 event was held at Madison Square Garden. The music in the clip below starts around 12:50 - and yes, this was back when Richie Sambora was still in the band, too (he had another decade with them after this). This includes a really incredible performance of "Wanted Dead or Alive" too.

Erik Grönwall Is Just Awesome

Erik Grönwall is the current singer for Skid Row. The man has a crazy set of pipes and can hit all the notes and more - with no effort. Now he has released a cover of Bon Jovi's "Livin' On A Prayer." Yea, it's one of the best rock songs of all time. It's also one of the most overplayed. Still, Grönwall kills it. Truly a pleasure to watch and listen!

Stranger Sings Bon Jovi - Everyone Joins In

But really, how can you NOT sing along to Bon Jovi's "Livin' On A Prayer?!?" Video taken in London and found via Reddit. Apparently the man who started the "concert" does this regularly and folks love it. I know I do.

This man in a park in London, England started singing ”Livin' on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi and the whole park joined in.

'Slippery When Wet' Turns 36

My favorite Bon Jovi album is Slippery When Wet. That landmark release turns 36 today. It's kind of crazy to think back on just how huge of a record Slippery was when it came out. I mean, the album features mega-hits "Livin' On A Prayer" and "Wanted Dead or Alive" - not to mention "You Give Love A Bad Name" and "Never Say Goodbye." Only folks like Adele and Taylor Swift are releasing albums with those kind of chart topping songs these days.

Too bad Bon Jovi wants to disavow their rock roots these days in favor of country music. Or maybe it's just what Jon Bon Jovi likes. Regardless, I'll always be thankful for Slippery When Wet and all the memories.
