Best Overlooked Power Ballads?

What is the best “overlooked” power ballad? That's the question of the day.

Awhile back, dedicated BBG! reader Travis wrote in with that question as a topic suggestion. I think the question is brilliant. For his part, Travis suggested Tesla's “What You Give” as one of the best overlooked Glam power ballads.

For me, I think one of the best overlooked power ballads has to be “I Will Remember” by Queensryche. Everyone here knows I love Queensryche, but “I Will Remember” never gets much praise. If you don't remember (ha!), the song is from Rage for Order.

Does “Sister Christian” count? I like Night Ranger and I always dig singing along with the band in concert...but seems like people don't mention “Sister Christian” much when we talk about power ballads. So, I guess I cheated and selected two songs, but that's okay. You can too. Tell me, what are your choices for best overlooked power ballad? Please, no “I Remember You” on this list!

How about Uzi "Away From My Heart." You won't find it on Youtube (at least I never have), so you might have to find them on Myspace. One of Eonian's releases last year. The disc isn't fantastic (a lot of production issues), but this song is pure gold to my ears.

Just a few odd the top of my head. If you ever get the chance to see Y&T perform that song live, I suggest you do so. Mind blowing.

Alone Again from Dokken is by far my fave not sure if it is overlooked. Sister C should continue to be overlooked, AWFUL, but not as bad as Sentimental St. Of the previously mentioned, Quicksand is great!

Gotta agree with You See My Crying by Aerosmith, this song deserves to be in the same category as Dream On. What a tune.

"You See Me Crying" is one of my favorite Aerosmith songs - period. I don't know why I didn't think of it for this list. That song proves Aerosmith's classic genius.

For me it's definitely "I Still Think About You" by Danger Danger!

it's classic glam with all the signiture features - 4 chord song with a big chorus, great solo and incredible vocals from ted poley!

I think it's just as good as any of the bigger and better known rock ballads out there..
