Nelson Has a New Video, Did You Catch It?

Nelson just released their first rock video in 15 years. The clip is for "You're All I Need Tonight" from the forthcoming album Lightning Strikes Twice (due for an American release in early 2011). The Nelson twins consider the album a follow-up to After the Rain.


Lightning Strikes Twice will be released via Frontiers.

First "rock" video in 15 years ? How about they just release a "rock" video ever ? I mean...c;mon. These guys couldn't decide back in the day if they were Glam, Goo Goo Dolls with hair, two blonde Rick Springfields or Hanson all grown up.

Beavis & Butthead's next door neighbor/pick on kid Stewart shouldn't of had a Winger shirt on, it should have been Nelson.

I should get a free copy...in the last 2 years...Ive been on 5 flight with one of the two...and we've hung out at car rentals too...and you know...Cracker Barrel is always good!!!

I respect the hell outta the fact that they are putting out new music. But that being said this is pretty bad. And yes, Brian is right, the one has a super melon head.

p.s. As you well know, though, I have a soft spot for the early "hits". You can detect faint rumblings of 80's E chords in the the distance on those, Tonto! "After The Rain", etc. is pure 80's powerballadry!

I thought this was OK, & it's definitely in the vein of "After The Rain". Just being who they are, they are never going to get critical acclaim, but they CAN write a catchy song. "Love & Affection" is probably one of the best written songs in the last 25 years. Cheers to them for still putting out new music. As for this being the "follow up to After The Rain"... NO. "Because They Can" was the follow up to After The Rain. And it was a pretty good album, too. What killed it was they waited 5 YEARS to put out a follow up, and their audience had moved on & forgotten about them.
