Allyson's Favorite Top 5 Video Countdown - Number 5

Today, I'm off to Fort Lauderdale to attend Shiprocked. I'll be seeing Vince Neil, Tesla, Cinderella, Lynam and more. While I'm away, I thought I'd countdown my top five favorite videos of all time - of any genre.

When I was a kid, MTV was real - it was all videos, all the time and metal reigned supreme. This means I had a lot of videos to choose from. Now, artists still make videos but it just isn't the same. There was something special about seeing your favorite video come up in the MTV rotation. I always stopped whatever I was doing, and watched mesmerized. Then I'd grab some VHS tapes and wait for the video to come up again so I could capture it forever. (Side note: I still have some of this mix-VHS video tapes!)

That said, my fifth favorite video of all time (and remember, this is ANY genre:)

"You Rock My World" by Michael Jackson

Check back tomorrow to find out my fourth favorite video of all time!

ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!

My fave vid of all time wasn't even a vid, per se, but a promo clip like the one's agents and managers used to send out to promoters to show them the prospective band could put on a show and draw a crowd.

Drum roll please...

Deep Purple, "Highway Star Live Japan David Coverdale"

YouTube that!
