'Split Your Lip'

Hardcore Superstar will release Split Your Lip later this month and the first single is "Moonshine." I have to admit, I'm on the fence about the song. It doesn't sound very Glam. What do you think?

Kinda sounds like a mix of Beautiful Creatures and Avenged Sevenfold to me. Not at all like their last few albums. I heard an acoustic version of an upcoming song a few months back, and really enjoyed it. It'll be interesting to see how the album turns out...

It may sound a bit differant than the last 2 albums, although they were solid I didnt find they had the same re-listening value as their older stuff. If you listen to the album "Thank You For Letting Us Be Ourselves" you will notice alot more midtempo numbers, as opposed to the "street metal" they've been sticking to on their last 3 releases.

The "Beg For It" album was good, not necessarily "glam" though. Quite honestly this "Moonshine" song blows. If the rest of the new CD is similar to this, I just saved myself some time and fee.

Every band matures in their own way. If you listen to Poisons' Look What The Cat Dragged In, it sounds so much differanet then what they are putting out now. I personally think that Moonshine by H.S. sounds pretty cool and look forward to the rest of the album.

"Street Metal" is a great way to describe this, Joel...

It's a kind of mash-up of sorts... part Ska-Punk, Emo-Metal, with just the slightest touch of Glam (and I mean, slight)...

Oh, and one other comment...

Though I really liked a lot of their old stuff...

... this is...

(Drumroll, please, Mr. Criss)

I dunno, I think I like it. The chorus doesn't match the rest of the song though. I'm not wild about the chorus, but the way the verses kick in is pretty cool.
