I Miss Beau Nasty

I'm sick of the usual suspects, I want Beau Nasty!

The band only released one album, but it's all Glam! Beau Nasty released Dirty But Well Dressed in 1989. Beau Hill produced the record so you know that means it is sleazetastic! For whatever reason, the band never made it big...even despite a Sony contract.

I obviously never got to see Beau Nasty live which is sad – I bet they were a fun show. There are times when I like to look through my obscure tunes and rediscover what someone else missed. For what it is worth, I think Beau Nasty is just as good as Britny Fox...the band most seem to compare them to, perhaps based on looks alone.

Some of the members of Beau Nasty are with other acts now, including drummer Mike Terrana and George Bernhardt.

If you own a copy of Dirty But Well Dressed, (on CD format) don't pitch it – the album is very rare and increasingly more expensive as the years go by.

I have the CD for Beau Nasty and I pull it out on occasion. Pretty good slice of glam metal. Better than Britny Fox in my book cause its a little more sleazy than Britny Fox type glam.

That is badass. It has it all...good vocals, a pole dancing beat, and a gratuitous dancing chick in the video. Nice pull!

Beau Nasty!

The album: "Dirty But Well Dressed"

Bought back in the day, when it came out...

I was thinkin' about this album a couple of nights ago for my "Mediocre Metal Guilty Pleasures" List (I still have yet to put up in the comments section of Al's previous post to this one -- Soon! Soon!).

And I realized this album doesn't belong on such a list.

High caliber Glam Metal, original and rockin'.

Beau Nasty! A nearly lost gem! But not now, thanks to you, Al!

p.s. I will say, "Paradise In The Sand" is the greatest "Chalk Board Scratching" ever recorded, but I still like it! My real faves on this album are the title track, one of "My Favorite Hair Metal Rockers Of All Time", "Shake It", "Gemini", "Make A Wish" (one of "My Fave Power Ballads Of All Time" & their barnstorming cover of the Lieber/Stoller classic, "Love Potion No. 9", the latter of which is almost as good as Tyger of Pan Tang's version. You can't miss with this album, folks!
