Vince Neil Swings and Misses

I'm on vacation right now, so the posts you've been reading this past week were pre-loaded. I am in paradise, so checking my email isn't exactly high on the priority list - but I try to glance at it once a night. Anyway, a good friend shot me an alert about Vince Neil. The alert was enough for me to stop my Hawaiian anniversary vacation and rush to a computer.

You see, Vince Neil attempted to slug a fan last Friday. Apparently the whole exchange was on TMZ as well. Anyway, some guy ticked Vince off and expletives were shouted and then Vince tried to punch the guy and he missed. Watch.

Like Saxon with their magnum opus, "Destiny", which they were chastised for, so was Vince Neil.

So many critics and Metal fans blasted him for "Exposed", saying it was too polished and too pop.

I say that's what's great about it and a lot of people liked the album and know the songs. I think a lot of his fans would love to hear those songs live again and it would also give him more credibility to bring them back.

Now there's a way to Bring Back Glam!

So Allyson, on a glam site no less, is a michael fricking jackson fan, yet is a hater of one of the best hard rock bands of all time, in the Crüe? Seriously?! She must be jealous that the Crüe has been more relevant than Aerosmith for the last 20 yrs. Lol. I'm sure this will get me banned from this site but its okay, I've got plenty of other computers to use!

That is quite comical, B. Kaliday. I saw Crüe open for Aerosmith, and as much as I love Crüe -- seen 'em eight times and have all their sh*t practically in triplicate, including the Leathur 1st press of their masterpiece first album -- Aerosmith wiped the floor with 'em.

They reside on a whole other plane than Crüe.

p.s. And let's not forget about Neil's secret weapon on "Exposed" -- Steve Stevens. He just absolutely scorches on that album!

That's a nice opinion but its not necessarily the majority one. Maybe it was true in the 70's & 80's though.

Dude, Crüe wasn't around in the 70's.

It was 2007 when I saw these two with Crüe OPENING for Aerosmith. Tyler has more talent on the tip of his pinky than Sixx and all the rest of them combined. And Sixx would be the first to admit it as he worships the ground Tyler walks on.

Ok aerosmith fanboy, if you say so. So how many ballads does their new cd have on it, 8? They really just need to give it up at this point.

Ipod while running on treadmill @ gym: you're invited (but your friend can't come), sister of pain, kickstart, sos...ah, I'm feeling the aftermath.

bkallday: should'nt there be a "t" in your moniker?

as in BTK all day? try bringing back glam.

Listen, Kallitaday, I'm a major "Fanboy!" of both of these bands but talent is talent. They both have pretty mediocre new music out. So, base it on their live shows. That's where the rubber really hits the road, anyway.

Believe me, those old f*cks in Aerosmith run circles around lard as*ed Sixx and fat a*s Neil. Aerosmith can still kick Crue's a*s and can do it all night long. Huh-uh-lo-oh! There's a very good reason why Crüe opened for Aerosmith, and not the other way around, last time they toured. I should know, I witnessed it with my own two eyes! And ears!

Next!

Hilarious. Now you're saying that those over the hill coots can kick the Crue's ass? First of all that's comical, secondly those old codgers would break a hip before the fight even started. Fyi I've seen both in concert & imo Aerosmith sucks live. Also, I liked every album they made up until Get a Grip. The Crüe own live!

bkallday - You gotta show some respect to Steven and Joe. They have way more class and talent in their pinkies than the guys in Crue. Puleezz! "Over the hill coots"??? Thems is fightin words, wippersnapper.

I saw both of them this year and Aerosmith was way better than Crue live. Maybe you enjoy the naked chicks dancing at the Crue show but Aerosmith doesn't need to resort to props like that because their show rocks. And they don't need to say "Fu**" a hundred times a night, or call their fans "Fu**ers, to reinforece their "coolness".

And, I was always a Crue fan (saw them for the first time on the Shout at the Devil tour) but Metalboy is right - Sixx and Neil are both lard ass***s. Joe and Steven look way younger than they do because they don't eat five burgers for dinner everynight, like Vince and Sixx do, obviously. Old coots, my a**!

Yeah, Rita! When can we schedule that elopement, again?

Seriously, Kallitaday. Love Sixx's stuff but what I mean is not that Aerosmith can literally kick Crüe's a*s physically. Musically, they wipe the stage floor with 'em.

Like I said, I'm an avid Crüe fan, but talent doesn't lie, and Tyler's got it all over those guys in spades. And, yes, I mean, even now.

Anyone who pays to see Vince Neil these days deserves to get punched. Face it....the guy is a burnt out, washed up has been!
