Van Halen, 'She's the Woman' -- New Video

Van Halen just released an official video for "She's the Woman." I'm pretty excited about the clip, mainly because "She's the Woman" is my favorite song on A Different Kind of Truth. Also, the clip is of concert footage. Since I didn't see Van Halen on this run, it's sort of like being there -- and that's nice. Oh, and I think Eddie Van Halen looks better with a little meat on his bones. He looks happy and healthy. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I have no interest in even starting that video,...to be honest I could care less if I even looked at any of them VH Fuckers again in my life...they make me sick...at least $100 a tix, gimme a break...to be honest I'm mad at myself for buying a ticket to Axl's BS band also,...ya I had an alright time,...but to compare it to say Mike Monroe or the Darkness, which both tix didnt even add up to that Axl fiasco, and rocked like FUCK...I dont know, maybe I'm in a bad mood, these guys are genius, they have given me more than any Sports guy could,...but the cockiness is out of control...it's a different time in the music biz I fully realize but sometimes this crap makes the fans look like godamn fools!

She's the woman = "I married well."

It not about how you express it, but what's in your heart when you do.

Always been a pretty cool song, and this next part is gonna really make me feel old, as I remember seeing VH play this song back when they were a bar band playing the Starwood in Hollywood! Most of the original song is there, save for the parts borrowed for "Mean Streets" & "Hand 'Em High". Good that it finally got some sort of official release. What I want to know is, "Did Michael Anthony get his proper writing & publishing credit?" After all the centerpiece of the song, that circular bass riff, was written by him.

For the most part, this current Van Halen CD came & went with only mild disinterest.

Part of he problem is the Do-It-Yourself approach the band took on the whole comeback campaign. Between a lack of guidance a la Ted Templemen and the (I suspect) Wolfgang produced videos, the entire affair netted them mediocre results.

It wouldn't have taken much more to really max up the impact of the new songs. Plus, they could amp up the stage show so much more, as well.

The only thing they did get right other than this song and "New Tattoo" (both of which could have been produced so much better by Templemen) is the album graphics.

Ace and Todd, yer right, unfortunately. It's a near miss.

i think they were channelling cinderella with the album graphic. ya know...heartbreak station but with a (van Halen) twist. I think they got it right.

they didn't do it by thenselves and use the "do-it-yourself" approach. it was done by professionals, under professional supervision. And, if YOU'RE unhappy with the results, only look within yourself MB.

Wow, you guys are crazy... this is clearly THE album of the year. And for that Todd guy who said Michael Monroe and (barf) the Darkness put on a better show??? Dude, put the crack pipe down.

Yeah, I'm looking inside myself and what I see is the desire for something better in an album from VH and comments from you. I expect better from both!

Wake up now!

I really like this album. It's actually a lot better than I thought it would be, I'm a huge VH fan and had a lot of doubts. I guess I'll be one of those fools that'll be paying for tickets. This band won't be around forever; I'm not missing a chance to see them and any fan of guitar based music shouldn't either. EVH is the last great classic rock guitar hero we have left IMO.
