Vince Neil Covers AC/DC

Vince Neil recently jumped on stage with the Sin City Sinners in Las Vegas to cover the AC/DC tune "Highway to Hell." The performance was part of Vince's grand opening celebration of his new restaurant and bar Tatuado Eat-Drink-Party! I'll let you watch the video and make your own judgements on the performance.

(In my best Bill Murray) "He actually sang almost all the words, so at least he has that going for him"...

weak..and I hate when a drummer can't play an solid 2/4 AC/DC song without goin' all Tommy Lee.

Yeah, a solid Kick-snare on the 2 & the 4 in a simple 4/4 time signature is kind of essential for that song. That being said, Sin City Sinners are probably the bigger cover band draw in Vegas. I went to Vince's new club last week, to see a friend of mine's KISS tribute band, "Sin City Kiss" . They were good, the stage was OK, sound & lights were adequate. Vince has built a nice shrine to himself...

Sounded pretty good to me.
I was expecting it to be awful.
I was pleasantly surprised.

He should try covering motley crue sometime.

Hahaha!!!, Oper8n!

It's okay in a halfa*sed sort of way. Still ya gotta admit, his chipmunkian voice is well suited for a Bon Scott AC/DC song.

By the way, did you guys notice how drunk Vince is here? He's literally stumbling over himself at the end.

p.s. Didn't that dude on guitar used to be in Faster Pussycat?

I thought it was pretty cool. He doesn't sound like a chipmunk at all?!?! That's a baffling response?!?!

Yes. That's why I thought you hired me.

Vince was (is?) one of the best rock singers in the world. Maybe he's not on the top of his game anymore, but respect is due. I've still never seen anyone get the crowd on its feet in the same way Vince can.

That's what I'm talking about AMP!

Hellwig, don't get me wrong, I LOVE Vince Neil's vocal stylings.

But he still sounds like Little Alvin from The Chipmunks, who I also happen to think is terrific.

It's all good Metalboy!
I just have no idea how you came to that conclusion. If I thought for a second he sounded like a chipmunk. I would never be a fan of his. It just seems odd to me that you are still a fan even though you think that. It comes across to me as a huge diss.

But that's just the way the cookie crumbles.
Rock on,bro!

Yes Metalboy!,Brent Muscat was indeed the guitar player in F P.
Too bad Todd Kerns got snatched by Slash, I liked the first Sin City Sinners album.

So... I'm heading to Vegas next Thursday - Sunday. Sounds like I should take these guys in ? Eric Martin from Mr Big is with them on Thursday.
December 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterGNR
Certainly, you can look past the fact that Eric Martin is with them and still enjoy the show, GNR, hahaha!!!

Just not overly familiar with Vegas and the possibilities of catching the bands. Going to attempt to due some internet "surfing" to find out what's going on.

Taking the wife, so if her hearing "Be with you" gets me in the front door... well where do I sign up ?? :)

Hahaha!!! I understand, GNR! My chick back when that tripe was a Top 10 Hit knew the band and got us into The Cat Club cuz of it. Funny thing was, Alice In Chains opened for 'em and after that, no one cared who Mr. Big was including her, hahaha!!!

It's not the best performance I've seen but I'll take Vince doing Bon Scott over Britney Spears any day.
