Vince Neil Opens New Business

Vince Neil is quickly becoming a big time entrepreneur just like Sammy Hagar. Vince's next venture is a restaurant inside the Circus Circus Resort in Las Vegas. Here's some info from the press release. I've been to Vegas many times but I don't think I've ever actually gone inside Circus Circus. I'm sure next time I'll go in and check out Vince's new business.

"In an effort to bring the rock ‘n’ roll vibe of the Sunset Strip to Las Vegas, longtime restaurant aficionados and owners of Kahunaville at Treasure Island, David Tuttleman and Mark Green, have partnered with Mötley Crüe front man Vince Neil to rebrand their 14,000 square foot Circus Circus venue, Rock ‘n Rita’s.

The new venues, VINCE NEIL’s TATUADO EAT-DRINK-PARTY! and VINCE NEIL’s PARTY BUS BAR, which open to the public Saturday, Nov. 9, showcase the combination of Neil’s affinity for tattoos and tequila with Tuttleman and Green’s emphasis on a fun and exciting party-like environment. The mouth-watering menu offers up Neil’s signature Tatuado burgers, burritos and more to tantalize guests’ taste buds. The dining room bar allows guests to pair their meal with a cold beer, lavish cocktail or one of the rocker’s very own premium brands. “I have wanted to expand the Tatuado brand and bring it to The Strip for a while,” said Vince Neil. “Teaming with David and Mark to recreate Rock & Rita’s into my own spot will create a true home for the brand. People can come have a great time and enjoy my signature line of spirits while they party.”

Owner of Rock ‘n Rita’s David Tuttleman said, “When we launched Rock & Rita’s, I wanted to create a rock ‘n’ roll party vibe where our guests could experience a true Vegas party. Teaming up with Vince is going to take that concept to the next level, creating an authentic atmosphere with an edgy tattooed feel, different from others you find here in town. I really want to submerge guests into the true lifestyle and party atmosphere of a rock star. I have been friends with rock ‘n roll photographer Mark Weiss for many years, so when it came time to design the new space, it was a no-brainer to utilize his creativity."

Photographer Mark Weiss, who was an integral part of the creative vision for the restaurant and bar areas, added, “In 1982, after shooting Mötley Crüe for their first national magazine spread, Vince took me to the infamous Rainbow on the Sunset Strip. We ate, we drank and we definitely partied. When I walked into Rock & Rita’s to be a part of the creative design team on this project, I was immediately taken back to those days at the Rainbow and was inspired to help create the feel and passion of the Sunset Strip."

The main space, branded as VINCE NEIL’S TATUADO EAT-DRINK-PARTY!, is the ultimate definition of Neil’s Tatuado brand and outrageous lifestyle. Throughout the dining room, the ambiance of the venue embraces Tatuado, meaning tattoo, artwork and imagery, along with the iconic rocker’s most prized possessions, including gold and platinum records from his enormous success with Mötley Crüe. Guests will be immersed in an ambiance reminiscent of the legendary Sunset Strip rock clubs where Neil and his pals launched their paths to stardom.  Two large video walls, projection screens and 22 HD flat screens, located throughout the restaurant and satellite bars, will entertain guests with rock-infused music videos and candid behind-the-scenes video of the rocker enjoying Las Vegas. True Vince Neil fans can feel at home as they party to Mötley Crüe hits and more, streamed through the premium sound system.

Just upstairs from the restaurant, visitors can enjoy VINCE NEIL’S PARTY BUS BAR, appropriately nicknamed “Bus Bar.” The well-known full-size bus features flair bartenders and party girls offering up shots and creative to-go drinks. Party-goers will feel as if they have been swept into a post-concert-like tailgate party.
Additionally, sports fans can take a break from their rock star-style partying to gamble and grab a drink in the existing Rock & Rita’s Sports Bar. Retaining the original branding, the sports bar embodies the All-American party for which Tuttleman and Green have become known. Avid gamblers can enjoy access to the adjoining Circus Circus Race and Sports Book, as well as counter-top video gaming machines.

Original band members always win, with very few exceptions (Brian Johnson for one, although in that case, bringing back Bon Scott was never an option).

In my view, that is why Crue without Vince didn't go places. Not because Vince was better, but because he was there first.

Everybody loves the original versions (DLR VH, Sebastian Skid Row,Ace/Peter KISS, etc, etc.) It is not always about who is the better singer, guitarist, drummer, whatever. By original, I mean who was in the band when they became well-known.

I agree w/what you said Rita

Motley Crue is the only exception for me. I love the CD they did w/John Corabi(always have since the day it came out). I also love all of Vince Neil's solo stuff. It wouldn't have bothered me really if Vince never came back. I love the "Generation Swine" CD but that's it ever since he came back.

I would have rather had Motley Crue do more albums w/Corabi. I would love to hear some "Personality #9" demos.

Vince's 2 solo albums of all new songs are classics in my book. I love his "Live At The Whisky" CD(I just wish he had done more solo songs). I love his covers CD "Tattoos & Tequila". The covers of Scorpions "Another Piece Of Meat" & Sex Pistols "No Feelings" are killer.

The Crue CD w/ Corabi sold less because of the timeframe in which it came out... "The Grunge Era"... Motley Crue, being the posterboys of all that was 'hairband" couldn't get arrested musically... (They still had no problem geting arrested in real life. Wife beatings, drug possession , vehicular manslaughter, etc.)

Rita brought up that it was a break from the "original 4"... I submit that it was more than that, cultural musical shift, Nikki's songwriting chasing the current trends & not being true to himself, John's voice being different. etc.

By that benchmark, Vince's return "Generation swine" sold less than the Corabi record, & "New Tattoo" sold even less than that.

For Nikki to call O'Dean fat is awfully hypocritical, and not really true. He had a look not dis-similar to Legs Diamond's Rick Sanford. As for Dean's wearing of white gloves? Well Vince pretty much stole that look flat out for "Theater Of Pain", now didn't he? I've known Nikki a long, long time... even lived next door to him, Tommy & Vince in the legendary apartment up the street from the Whiskey... And I know enough to say that his revisionist history way of telling the story, doesn't exactly jive with the actual facts.

For those who haven't really heard Nigel sing... "She Does It" from Mott. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fqpL2pLAQc

WOW!
I'm not gonna argue with you on this Ace. You obviously hate Motley Crue. You just called them a "hairband". I guess I know where your coming from now. Nigel and Dean would have been great frontmen for a "hairband" band like White Lion or Europe.

They would have stuck out like a sore thumb in a real glam metal band like Motley Crue.

The CD they did with John Corabi doesn't sound like grunge at all. Me and all my friends who love bands like Pantera and Megadeth love that CD. Nikki sold out when he wrote the "New Tattoo" CD. That was a lame attempt at trying to write what he thought the fans wanted. That was the epitome of not being true to himself.

I've heard Nigel and Dean sing years ago, they both sound awful. Vince is hands down better. I'm not even saying Vince is some amazing singer but compared to those two it's no contest. But of course if somebody hates Motley Crue as much as you then they will think Nigel and Dean are amazing. So it doesn't matter what I say, if you were a fan of the Crue we would be able to find some kind of middle ground but....

Whatever, different strokes 4 different folks.

What fantastic comments, all, I must say.

Forgetting Neil's "issues" for a moment and simply view it purely from a performance point of view, he is perfect in every way, not so much on technique but still absolutely incredible with a distinct chimpunkian sound that sounds unique and I mean that in the most complimentary way.

My friend, 'Los, a punker through and through like moi, and I got together for the first time in 30 years. We watched the entire Mötley Crüe '82 US Festival Metal Day performance and then the New York Dolls Bob Gruen shot black and white "All Dolled Up" documentary. They are both astounding examples of Rock and Roll in it's purest form, nicked from everything and entirely nicked from, the Dolls even purer with Thunder's signature wholly ownable riffarama.

That Crüe show literally "stunned" 'Los into complete and utter submission, and he is certainly no fan of Metal, by any means.

Metalboy! is right except for the odd chipmunk part.
I have the US Festival concert on DVD that Motley Crue did & that is pure glam metal heaven.

P.S. Quiet Riot also have a CD/DVD combo out of their US Festival concert & it is really cool.
...Also I know where you can get a excellent copy of the Motley US Festival concert on CD as well.

Just to follow up,
Nigel Benjamin and O'Dean still can't sing but the good news is that Nigel no longer has to work the night shift at 7-11 and O'Dean has been promoted to the produce section at his local hometown grocery store.

We are the champions my friend and we'll keep on fighting til thee end, cause we are the champions, we are the champions, no time for losers cause we are the champions, we are the champions of the world!

oh, and metalboy...perhaps you should tear apart your lead guitarists' intentions brick by brick, instead of mine. I'm no fan of their work either...but at least I get it...and supported it from the get go.
