Neal Schon To Have Pay Per View Wedding

This is ridiculous. Neal Schon of Journey is getting married this month to Michaele Salahi and the couple will offer fans the chance to watch via pay per view.

From E! Online:

"Former Real Housewives of D.C. star Michaele Salahi and Journey guitarist Neal Schon have set a date—and so have the cable companies! The couple are planning get married Dec. 15 at San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts and their nuptials will be televised live on Pay-Per-View. True to the couple's musical roots (the first we heard of their romance was when the still-married Salahi turned up at Schon's concert), 'Neal & Michaele: The Winter Wonderland Wedding and Music Event' will also feature a performance by Journey, Tower of Power and other musical guests."

If you want to watch, it will cost you $14.95. Truly insane. To be fair, some of the proceeds will go to charity... but still. Nothing is private anymore and everything is a money grab.

Actually, he turned into a clown right after he left Frank Zappa's band.

Journey is maximum cheese and this stunt takes it even further. What a travesty.

I am not going to pay to watch a wedding. I would not watch it for free if I didn't even know the person. I don't care if you're the president, the pope, or a guy in Journey, nobody is going to pay to watch this.

DJ -- Steve Miller is a genius and, no doubt, it will also be entertaining to see Journey, who I've heard are totally flawless live these days.

That Steve Perry impersonator they've got on lead vocals supposedly out-Perrys Perry himself.

I think this is his 4th marriage. I remember seeing Bad English in Boston around 88-89 and his 'next' wife was there, with her family, as she was from the area. He was bragging after the show how he found his "perfect soul mate", to her family as the band signed stuff. I hope he has a pre-nup as it seems this one is a money-grabber..any bets on how long this one will last??

don't forget that Tower of Power is also on that bill with Journey and Steve Miller. tower of Power still brings it live, and Steve Miller is awesome! Finally, for what it's worth, I have a live recording of Santana from the Fillmore when Schon was in the band...pretty cool stuff.
