'Heart of Fire,' Black Veil Brides -- New Video

Black Veil Brides just released a very 80s inspired video for their new song "Heart of Fire." The clip sort of reminds me of Motley Crue mixed with Bonham mixed with... well, I'm not sure. The song is on the upcoming self-titled album due October 28th.

As much as I want to embrace this band, I just can't get past the mediocre vocals. A stronger singer would do this band wonders.

The singer is awful.

I read this review of the vocals you mention, albeit a review of a BVB album on a "METAL" site, who also disses Glam.

There is one very significant difference between BVB and the glam rockers that predate them, however, and I will gladly attack it with all my strength, as I see it as their most glaring weakness. Sebastian Bach, Vince Neil, Bret Michaels, and Bon Jovi, flamboyant lip-puckering douchebags though they may have been, were all good singers. They had something called a "range", knew their way around pitch, and had enough power in their lungs to make the back row of even the most enormous of arenas moist in the undercarriage. "Andy Six" is a piss-poor, abhorrent fucking rock singer. He's truly terrible, and the band will be much better off replacing his whiny, nasally, tone-deaf ass sooner rather than later. BVB got their start as a croon the chorus, scream the verse buttcore band as we've heard so many times before, and Andy Six had the "skills" necessary to carry himself through that sort of bullshit at that time. That is no longer the case.

You don't have to have the greatest/cleanest voice or have the most range, you just have to be unique. That's what sets these guys apart from all the other emo/scene/whiney bullsh** out there. As much as I love Baz and Vince this guy can do it too. Great love band also.

Love the music...hate the singer. Too bad.

I agree with DJ, though the singer can get annoying at times.

That concept album was great and he was instrumental in it.

Will their new album top that album? No easy task.

This cut is a little annoying and the video fairly unremarkable to but ya gotta admit, they've got their formula down.

I say, keep the singer for now and secretly look for his replacement, probably no easy feet since he is integral to the band, and most likely, their leader.

If they could pull off replacing him, whoever it is better be a better writer, which, in this case, is a pretty tall order, as BVB have some great songs AND albums.

To me, they are the Nickleback of glam.
As un-rock & pre-fabricated as can be.

and... There is absolutely no bass in their mix.
Maybe they used those fake cabinets with no speakers that they toured with, and used those empty boxes when recording... ;)

Haha, Ace... Good one!

Thanks for the reality check, though calling them the Nickleback of Glam is pretty harsh considering Nickleback, with the exception of "Animals", are total sh*te, hahaha!!!
