Dee Snider Goes Off On Twitter

Twitter is the go-to platform for celebrities to engage in battles with Internet trolls these days. Sometimes the celebs aren't even responding to trolls, but stirring up a battle all on their own. Dee Snider likes to speak - and tweet - his mind. Yesterday, he took on Doug Aldrich and Whitesnake. It got a little heated!

It's good to see my "Vegas by way of L.A." homeboy Doug Aldrich put Dee Snider in his place. Dee was totally out of place with his Tweet.

Doug's doing just fine, playing sold out shows to a few thousand people, with "Raiding The Rock Vault" 4 nights a week. Maybe Ol' Dee is a little bit jealous?

P.S. He did some great records with Whitesnake: "Good To Be Bad" , "Forevermore" , "Made In Britain" & "Made In Japan".

Ahh... it all makes sense now. Dee was in Vegas at the Luxor to see dork-comic Carrot Top & saw the line of people across the street @ the Tropicana for Raiding the Rock Vault & got jealous!

Maybe his room had a great view of the billboard with Doug on it, & it bruised his ego... https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRXikJ6vYegrHmh4OKkNVWyd52laXa3CfThBgrwcrml2L1e45bK7Q

Dee Snyder is sounding like the Hair Metal version of Kanye West!

Think I recall hearing back in the day that Dee auditioned or wanted to audition (or whatever) for the Black Sabbath singer spot after Dio left in the early 80's. This was around the time that Ron Keel had the spot for a second and David Denato (if that's how you spell it, he later became the voice for the Mark St John post KISS project White Tiger). Funny that, had he actually been a (short-lived I'm sure) singer for BS, he would also be one of those (after their original heyday) musicians. Although BS is timeless and a giant of a band, they went through some lean times between Ozzy/Dio joining/rejoining records and tours.

Dude Snider doesn't know what he's talking about, Good To Be Bad is one of my favorite records of all time and a big thank you goes to Doug! Don't think Twisted could compete

I don't know if Dee did, or did not want to audition for Sabbath after Dio left, but if he did, I could certainly understand why. Twisted Sister had been busting their asses in the clubs for years and years without that big breakthrough success. Dio left Sabbath before TS finally hit it big. Plus, TS had lots of Dio-era Sabbath tunes in their setlist at the time, and Dee sounded great singing them. How do I know this? I'm an old NJ SMF from way back, and I have in my collection, no exaggeration, more than 60 TS bootlegs from their club days. That said, as much as I am still a huge Dee and Ts fan, I don't get this whole nonsense he started with Doug Aldrich on Twitter.

Dee is way off base. Twisted Sister cannot hold a candle to Whitesnake's catalog. Like Ace said, Good to be Bad and Forevermore are awesome discs, and quote frankly, brought the mighty Snake back into prominence. Just a little jealousy on Dee's part

Hmmm . . . no condoning this sort of stuff, but one wonders: what was the catalyst for his outburst?

Perhaps a long-simmering feud from those _Bat Head Soup: A Tribute to Ozzy_ days. I dunno. But there has to be more to it than this.

yeah...something isn't right here and the peudo-wannabe-professionals might chalk it up to early stages of dementia or a similar (insert differential) diagnosis, coupled with (insert comorbidity) alcohol and jealously...

I'll opine that he tore a sheet out of Sebastian (insert Sabitchen) Bach's playbook on "how to be a rockstar" and surmised to himself, "Let's see what happens when I...

I mean, c'mon on people, this is Dee Snider, who even endorsed and stomped for Al Gore in 2000 after all that PMRC shit. Have we forgotten already?

Would this be the same Dee who pimped his entire family out on reality TV,ala one Ozzy Osbourse? Just sayin' Dee...Doug Aldrich is a classy guy and an incredibly talented guitarist. Why Dee has a hard on for him is beyond me?

I love both of these bands but as for whitesnke, sure there last couple albums weren't commercial successes but they were decent and at least they are releasing albums. Maybe its time for T/S to release something and stop worrying g about others.

...dee definitely knows forgiveness.

gary: I have know idea why Dee "went after" Doug Aldrich, as I believe you that doug is an absolutely stand up guy. I think Dee was talking more generally, but, unfortunately, focused his rant specifically.

in the meantime, sometimes, some persons just need to be put in their respective place (or palace). I'm wearing black leather and got a 1000 watts of power!!!

peace, all
