AC/DC Debut 'Rock The Blues Away' Video

AC/DC use real fans for their latest video "Rock The Blues Away." This is the latest single from Rock or Bust. Thoughts on this one?

Weakest song on the album but I look forward to their gig in Denmark in mid July.

This album is their weakest since Blow Up Your Video, but I can't wait to see em again!

Gotta hand it to these Billionaires. They figured out how to hit the octogenarian (as in 1980's) set AND Millenials plus everyone younger, older and in-between, by inviting representatives of all to the videotaping.

And they did it in a day for no budget!

It's OK... pretty standard for an AC/DC track. Decent little performance video. That's all they've ever needed, as they are the textbook case of a "meat & potatoes" band. Malcolm's influence is definitely missing.

I love this band, everything about them kicks ass. We are driving our bus (Stormin Norman) from Delaware to Chicago to watch them rock Wrigley Field! Sex!

I was replaying this album on two international flights this past week. This song, of all of them, reminds me of the _Who Made Who_ era of the band.

In that context, it is a damn fine number: light, almost poppy, and designed to get the sing-along side of the fan base tapping their toes. I said it before, and I will say it again: overall, I was wrong. This is a stronger album than I thought it would be.

I am also a rank amateur when it comes to playing and making music, but I detected some slightly out-of-character noodling on some of these songs (think the change-up in the chant on the chorus of "War Machine" off of _Black Ice_, but a bit more obvious and more in the playing of the backing guitars or in the layering on songs, esp. on a track like "Dogs of War").

All that said, I was pleased and saddened to hear how well Rudd made that little-more-than-a-week of work fit with this album. Even with his troubles, he fit in perfectly. Only wish he could get back to keeping time for this band (though Slade is fine with me too).

I'm with ya, HIM... In fact, I'll take it one step further... I actually like this album BETTER than "Black Ice"!

Agreed, Metalboy! I was so prepared to just go "meh" on this one. And I didn't. It is a focused album that spares us much filler. Glad to see them still performing.
