Well, there you go (he says, in between thoughtful bites of humble pie).

Given the sorts of cities they are targeting, I am sure this will be a big Sprummer hit. Well played. Very . . . well . . . played.

Even though I live in Orlando and it would make a lot more sense to see them in Jacksonville or Fort Myers, I may fly to Kansas City or Louisville to avoid the obvious.

If only those idiots had booked Poison for M3!

Huh. Nothing near Toronto, either. I've seen Leppard & Poison a few times recently, but haven't seen Tesla since they opened for Motley on the Dr. Feelgood tour. I'd love to see them again!

Detroit area Denied..............

All of Pennsylvania off the map also. Anyone else think there may be a second leg or additional dates added to this itinerary before all is said and done? Seems like they'd be leaving a substantial amount of "cabbage on the table" if this were all the dates....

Kansas City - looks like my best option but it is on a Wednesday and 3 hour drive.. - Will have to see how I can squeeze this in..

Oh crap - Gary your right - holding my breath - I just realized this only goes through June - Maybe just maybe they make an August stop in Sturgis then I am in for sure.

Super excited to see POiSON again.

DL played same arena last year. Bottom ring was fairly full. Curious what they will pull in this time.

I guess Poison (Bret) doesnt really want to headline because they would actually have to play more than 9 songs. How about playing "open up" in full and then a couple of encores closing with "talk dirty". Still would be well under an hour set! I can dream.

I'm on the fence about this one. ON the one hand, they are playing in San Diego so it would be easy for me to go and perhaps relive some of my misspent youth. But, on the other hand, given that I saw all three of these bands about 30 years ago, would I have as good a time seeing them now that they aren't what they used to be? granted, I'm not what I was 30 years ago either, but I'm not up on the stage. :)

Bob, I've seen them all on and off over the last 30 years, from huge arenas to summer outdoor sheds. They all put on a decent show and all in all sound pretty good. As much as I have missed CC, Poison needs a major set list change, Tesla seems to just get going and they are off the stage. Def Leppard were pretty good the last time I saw them a couple years back, they did this "unplugged" deal which I thought was pretty cool and a neat change. If the price isn't crazy expensive , it's a decent night out. (And your close by, haha)

KC, baby! Joined the Rock Brigade fan club for the presale. Will probably stay at a hotel that allows dogs. When it gets closers, I'll post which hotel and where we'll be having adult beverages beforehand.
I'll be the guy in the POISON t-shirt.

Bob, you'll have a good time as C.C. still brings it. He is quite simply one of THE most underrated guitarists ever!

Can't say that for Elliot's voice since it's SO shot or the entire band, Tesla, as their material and show are so mediocre.

looks like the festival circuit (san antonio and pryor OK) kills a dallas date. bummer for me. wouldn't mind seeing poison one last time before they implode or something.

Maybe POISON will keep going once Michaels sees (if he's capable) the huge response they get on the road. Just two problems...

1) Will Breck Michaels realize the massive positive response POISON will receive has as much to do with C.C., Bobby and Rikki as it does him, if not more, because he's deprived them of the spotlight for so long?

2) OR... will Michaels decide it's all about him and suck off the hype from the success of POISON's tour and hit all the places they missed without the rest of the band?

MB - do you really have to think about those 2 options? It's all about Bret of course!!! (according to Bret). But on a serious note, since POISON is not headlining, it'll be hard to say what the response to them is. I'll have a decent comparison because I saw DL with Styx and Tesla in the same arena 2 years ago. Bottom ring was full. Upper empty. If there's more folks this time, it's reasonable to assume they came for POISON.

Now all of us real fans will go to see CC Deville, who has always been the main reason to go see POISON, even in their prime. He may not be the most proficient player, and is sloppy as hell live, BUT the man exudes guitar godness and has charisma up the wazoo. There is no POISON without CC (sorry Blues S. and Richie K.), there just isn't. I know they're not gonna play half the songs I want to hear in Louisville, but I will be there. Old school, with my binoculars which I still bring to every concert. Watching and listening to CC. And enjoying ever minute of it because it may be the last time! I hope I'm 100% wrong.

I hear ya, Steverox. Thing is, when I saw POISON open for Motley Crüe at Outlaw Jam in Frederick, Maryland several years ago, honest to Metal Godz, they gave Crüe a run for their money and it was mainly because of C.C.

Why? Well, I was point blank in front of C.C. and was blown away. It seemed like he was playing blistering lead guitar over the top of the whole thing, song after song, during the whole show and it was incredible. I really didn't get that he was really sloppy but rather shreddingly fast and loose. If there was a missed note, I didn't hear it.

In fact, I was SO mesmerized by C.C.'s playing, completely ignoring Michaels, my eyes riveted on C.C.'s hands and fingers shredding up his flying V's and B.C.Riches, so much so, I swear to The Metal Gawdz, Michaels came over to where I was standing right up against the stage and he leaned down and sang, "What the h*ll is wrong with you?!!!" right into my face!

You can read all about it in my one and only concert review (if you haven't already) on BBG! Allyson was so kind to post many years ago. I think if you search "Outlaw Jam" on here, it will pop up. I believe it still stands as the longest piece ever written for BBG!, haha!!

MB: You, of all people, should know and understand...it's not the length that counts. :]
