Oh, Brother

The grudges, how they last a lifetime. I have no other words on this one, except Mike Tramp was begging for a White Lion reunion for years and Vito Bratta is one of the best guitarists of the era. Revisionist history!

Mmmm Ya. ok Mr. Tramp. You'd much rather tour out of a station wagon, playing dive bars to 58 drunk people, than reunite with the guy who made you famous in the first place with some of the catchiest melodic music to come out of the entire era. Gotcha.

Noone cares anymore, anyway. Except for the Mom's and grandmas in their 40's & 50's, that still think Mike Tramp is hot. Lol

Bratta sure as hell doesn't care, unfortunately.

He retired when White Lion broke up, revealing to all many years later in that epic interview with Eddie Chump (probably one of the few good interviews conducted by that as*clown) about the debilitating pain in his hand that prevents him from playing professionally.

What a tragedy, as Gary reminds us what a gifted guitarist this guys is, a kind of cross between Eddie Vsn Halen and Hendrix (though more VH that JH), yet totally natural, original in his playing full of fresh with ideas.

On, and did we mention, FAST!🤘

This is so sad. Vito was - in this one guy's opinion -the BEST player of the 80's bands. If you disagree, fine, but go listen to collections of his solo's on youtube and tell me he's not? I would travel anywhere to see that reunion. The bass player (Lomenzo) also seemed very cool when he was on the Amazing Race a few seasons ago. Glad we have this great band's music to always put me in a good mood.

I don't begrudge Tramp his feelings in this case. Nor would I slag Bratta. I think both men are heirs to a legacy that many of the bands of that era can't claim. And, while Bratta had legitimate reasons to stop and Tramp had numerous reasons to continue, i think that is probably less than half the story.
