Here It Is: Bon Jovi Reunites At Rock Hall Induction Ceremony

The members of Bon Jovi reunited for their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony last night. This means Richie Sambora and Alex John Such (!) were on stage with the rest of the band and together again, just the way it should be. Great clips of the show below. You can watch the entire ceremony on HBO on May 5.

Ugh... that was rough.

I just watched the whole thing on YouTube from Howard Stern’s introduction to Bon Jovi’s acceptance speech to the performances.

Gotta say, a class act all the way! Just like Cheap Trick before them, they put aside their differences and accepted their induction TOGETHER like the pros they are, unlike chickensh*ts such the Van Halen’s, Axl, Slash, Debbie Harry, Ian Gillan, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and others who refused to let bygones be bygones, even for just a few hours to TOTALLY celebrate this extraordinary achievement.

Here’s an idea ... All the jerks who refused to hug it out for one night, why not get a chance to do a make-up appearance. You could start with Guns N’ Roses, now that they’ve reunited, and have them make a special appearance on the show ...

They could do one band every year that have either reformed or had an opportunity to rethink blowing off their first chance to set things right, then go back to hating each other like high schoolers immediately following the show.

I just watched his acceptance speech. Its really crazy he definetely looks Like Bill with a side of Hillary, but also a resemblance of Geraldine Ferrara.

Good point, Metalboy, but let's not forget to include Ann and Nancy Wilson on the list of people who did it right.

Although they wouldn't go near the original boys in the band (sans Howard Leese), they brought them along for the induction ride.

A class move on their part for sure.

You’re right, Steve! Original members of Heart not only accepted their induction together AND performed “Crazy On You”.

Later members bass player Mark Andes and drummer Dennis Carmassi were not included though the Wilsons probably could have included them to perform.

Still, unfortunately, for them, it was probably better to exclude them to add to the purity of the moment just going with the earlier line-up strictly made up of the inductees.

When Bon Jovi campaigned with Shitler Clinton I couldn't tell them apart either.

Love that they put their differences aside for this. Also nice of R+R HOF to induct both bass players. Speeches were fine, John's a little long. Howard was hysterical. The live performance was a bit of a mess though, which is not like Bon Jovi's normal tight live show. Makes me think the band was rusty, and re-integrating Sambora would take a bit longer. John's voice though was probably the worst of all.

Anyway, that's just my assessment of this particular performance. Still love that they got in, have seem them tons of times live, always great (but only with Sambora). This is well deserved.

Question now is .... will any other "glam rock" bands get in? Def Leppard should get in, as should Motley Crue. Me thinks the buck stops there though. Oh, and not really glam, but Judas Priest and Maiden should have been in a long time ago already!!!

My vote: Randy Travis with collagen injections! Seriously, though, I tend to agree with most of you about setting aside grudges for the good of the fans.

That said, some grudges are based on well-founded reasons and slighting a person/band for not giving those up is easier to do on our end. Case in point: Ian Gillan and Co. had every right to suggest that Blackmore positions himself as a figure in power or deserving of pity, depending on how the winds change. Does the fact that Blackmore now wants to play a one off with the members of the band change that?

Yes and no. Yes, in that a concert venue or new track or new album is a far different way to put aside things for the good of the fans (I think here of what _Perfect Strangers_ meant to fans). No, in that Deep Purple has every right (as does a band like Skid Row) to decide yes or no on that issue, regardless of what we think. As in the past, Robert Plant also comes to mind.

My other point is a return to the soapbox: carping about who gets in/shows up/gets left out/deserves to be include when it comes to the RaRHoF suggests that the organization is deserving of this degree of consideration. Which it is not. That Halford would say fans are 'furious' that Priest aren't in and then say that it really is only a way to validate the fans' feelings (and he is not the first nor the last to say that), well, that gets closer to the actual truth: bands that truly matter have a love/hate relationship with the RaRHoF, and for good reason. But fans would do a better job in service to their heroes if they stopped worrying about the hall. Why give oxygen to a corrupt organization if only so you can see a band--in whole or part--perform at the pleasure of Wenner?

Sure, it is nice to see the bands we love perform. But I'd rather them perform in a venue not tainted by the smug disregard that built and sustained the hall. And if they won't play together again, there or elsewhere? Well, that is fodder for many, many more posts on this site. I am sure of that. But that is their choice, not ours.

Tip your host/hostess. Try the veal.

Howard's introduction sucked and reaffirms what I've been saying about him for the past 5 years or so...hang it up. It's not fun or funny. Your interviews rock, but your comedy is old and tired. Howard use to be edgy and comical, now it's just rude, lewd, crued...but with no tattoos. Talking about Richie's cock size? with every band members' family in the audience? Really Howard? I think it's about time that YOU started to make peace, with 'your' piece.

As for Bon Jovi; from Top to Bottom, Bottom to Top and everywhere in between...a class act. Kudos to them, their families and their legions of fans. JBJ decided to take the high road in his speech, but I won't...

Fuck you, Metalboy!. I've been saying for years that Bon Jovi is a class act, but what have your comments been? Bon Anchovy, Bon Blow Me, etc... And Now? you're jumping on the bandwagon because he and his band acted respectful for Jann Wenner. Fuck you. Oh and fuck a lot of the regular posters on here who never have stood up to metalboy. She has repeatedly attacked me and not a peep from any of you. Bob? Gary? Badland? Him? Kixchix? Allyson?

From this perspective, Metalboy! is nothing more that a Donald J Trump wannabe. Jack T. Ripper should be proud that Bon Jovi finally got nikki's endorsement.

Look ... All I’m saying is I am glad Bon Jovi permitted all the members to perform together like many of the other class acts that have done the same, most notably, Cheap Trick.

Just because I say something like that doesn’t mean I like the band.

I still stand by what I have said previously ... Bon Jovi is 3 or 4 good songs either co-written by Desmond Child or stolen from Joel Ellis.

That is to say, let bygones be bygones even if for just one night. Too bad you clowns can’t do the same.

donald trump is president and the owner of FTS calls me a clown repeatedly. Where are her priorities. Maybe she needs to treat me respectfully and I will accept her apology for how she brutally she treated me.

btw, let's not forget how she posted on here that DJT will NEVER become president and we can bank on her perspective.
