Idaho Rock Fest Canceled

Well, that didn't take long. I posted about Idaho Rock Fest a few weeks ago. Now the show is off. The cancellation was announced a few days ago on Facebook. Ticket holders were not pleased. Keep in mind, this news was posted just three days after a post announcing some special events during the fest. The whole situation is very odd. It does seem like folks are getting refunds, so that is good news at least.

Sounds as if this is another one of those cases where a somewhat naive promoter promised a lot and ended up not having the cash to pay for those promises. When you are so beholden to investor money that you can't push things through to the final show without another extension, you probably shouldn't be promoting a concert. Build it and they will come . . . unless they don't, because you can't. Add this one to the list.

Funny enough, I was listening to Sirius XM hair nation the Monday after this show would have happened, and the DJ was talking about what an awesome show the Idaho Rockfest was and which bands played there etc. I laughed so hard!

Seriously, steverox?!?!? Is there tape of that? That would go a long way to proving that Hair Nation needs to step up and get someone who actually cares about digging a bit deeper into the music we all know and love.
