Ozzy Osbourne Announces Parkinson's Diagnosis

Ozzy Osbourne is living with Parkinson's disease. He was diagnosed last February and broke his silence about the condition yesterday. He is taking medication for his tremors and will seek treatment in Switzerland in the spring. Parkinson's is a hard disease. It can progress slowly or quickly. Aggressive physical activity does seem to slow the progression of the disease in some people. I wish Ozzy and his family well and maybe him going public will help other people learn more about the disease.

Not good news. And Terry Jones of Monty Python just died of Parkinson's today. All the people who's art I really appreciate seem to be dying all of a sudden and it makes me very sad.

Sad news. I bag on Ozzy. But he is a living miracle. Best wishes for him and his family.

And also sad news about Terry Jones. Gifted comic with a range that went far beyond the hilarious Mr. Creosote (in a brilliant film which he directed no less).

Gogmagog, I heard he died from complications relating to his frontotemporal dementia. Not that it matters. Another tragic loss either way. But it was nice to see the praise and remembrances from friends and fans.

Parkinsons is brutal. An ex-girlfriend’s Dad has if bad and it was just brutal watching it consume him!

Here’s to OZZY! The man just put out a KILLER new song and video Allyson recently posted which seems to be fortelling an equally KILLER new album demonstrating once again, he is one of few legends still out there cranking out quality Metal like nobody’s business!

As Ozzy is fond of saying during his live shows, “God Bless You All!”

Now we must say, “God Bless Ozzy!” and “Godspeed!”, our thoughts and prayers are with you!
