'Let It Rain' - Journey Releases New Song

Journey will release a new album Freedom in early July. Earlier today, the band dropped another song from the album called "Let It Rain." The song has a different vibe than most Journey tracks - and there's a throwback blues feeling too. I love the guitar work! You can pre-order Freedom now.

California's in the middle of a drought, right? This ain't the song to change that.

Notice how those tinkling ivories and guitar chugs are front and center? Hmm? Well, that's no surprise.

Sounds like this song got stuck in the La Brea Tar Pits. Throwback? More like a throwaway. That different vibe is two greedy nincompoops squeezing every last drop. Perhaps they should have called it "Let It (Finally!) Rest."
