Winger, 'Voodoo Fire' -- Official Video

Winger now has a video for their song "Voodoo Fire" from the new album Seven. It's a strong song and I dig it - a lot. Really good stuff here - Winger's new album is one of the strongest of the year.

After slagging on the first single, I have to say that these have gotten stronger and stronger. Finally ordered the damn CD. Couldn't resist.

The song starts out in "Unskinny Bop" bass country, then swerves into some decidedly Extreme-sounding stuff, and then just keeps going . . . rocking! Well, rocking in a measured way, though still rocking.

Not sure I needed the video. Kip seems increasingly uncomfortable filming them. He seems aware that he is a middle-aged man posing like he is in his twenties. But I do like when he does that signature leg-sweep/lift thing (around the 1:05 mark, watch his left leg). Makes me giggle. At least it doesn't look like it was shot in his garage by a buddy needing a job.

Good job, gentlemen.

Now if the rest of Dokken's new CD can live up to the first single.

I hope everyone (that includes you, you ole' rascal, Bkallday) has a good Sunday.
