Classic! God, the whole smart phone craze has ruined the concert going experience for me. Especially if you have floor seats. More people are too concerned with recording their favorite songs (or in some cases the entire show)when to go back and watch it, it turns out to be a crappy recording (see - almost every live cell phone recording on youtube). I really wish they would ban cell phones from shows. I know that it not possible, but damn I long for the days when they didn't exist and you didn't have to contort your head and neck just to see a show that is overpriced to begin with.

That's what I've noticed when going to shows... It's one thing to grab a few songs with your smartphone, but EVERY song.

There's this one couple I've encountered on The Monsters of Rock Cruise... Nicest people... but they are ALWAYS without fail, front and center, videotaping and photographing EVERY song!

As Mewisemgic notes, people like that can never truly experience the show. They're too busy documenting it to ever actually enjoy it.

And dubbing the smartphone the "stupidphone" couldn't be more accurate.
