Joe Perry Rocks Out With Members Of Cheap Trick, Stone Temple Pilots & Extreme

Aerosmith guitarist headlined the Monster Consumer Electronics Show (CES) concert. He was joined by members of Cheap Trick, Stone Temple Pilots and Extreme for a jam session. The concert was called "The Sound of Rock" and Joe streamed it on his Facebook page.

Happy Friday. We're getting a big winter storm where I live today so the commute will be a nightmare and everyone will be on edge and in a bad mood. I'm so over this weather. Just 68 days until Spring!

I already commented on the newer post about this. So I will leave Cherone alone.

But I wish this had been the post (I know, Allyson, not my choice!!):

That is this jam band's version of "Let The Music Do The Talking." Now, granted, the sound is horrid. But I will say this: those intro lines by Perry are as easily recognizable and lovely as the guitar lead-in to "Bathroom Wall" by Faster Pussycat. And I don't think I am wrong to make that sort of connection re: the two songs. Also, I do miss hearing Ralph Morman singing this song . . . and, alas, will never get to hear him sing it live, as he passed away in 2014. The Perry solo version is easily better than the Aerosmith version.

But, here again, I will say that this looks like it would be a fun evening (and I will leave out the Depp slam from the previous/more recent post).
