ShipRocked Sold Out - Waitlist Open

Cabins for the fifth ShipRocked--the ultimate rock music cruise vacation--are now sold out, with a full ship of nearly 3,000 guests from 44 states across the U.S. and almost a dozen countries around the world set to sail from the Port Of Miami January 26-30, 2014 onboard the Norwegian Pearl.

Those who would still like to join the 2014 excursion to Great Stirrup Cay--a private island in the Bahamas--are encouraged to sign up for the ShipRocked waiting list via www.shiprocked.com, as cabins may become available between now and the sailing date.

Comedian and Saturday Night Live alum Jim Breuer will join the ShipRocked lineup. Known for his impersonations of Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne and AC/DC, Breuer’s two performances will feature his heavy metal-infused brand of frenetic comedy.

In addition, rock band Living Colour--known for their 1990 Grammy Award winning song "Cult of Personality"--joins the lineup of over 20 bands including headliners Five Finger Death Punch. FFDP are touring in support of their newly-released Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell - Volume 2 album, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 album chart last week--marking the second straight #2 debut for the band. The power-packed ShipRocked band lineup also features Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, Sevendust, Candlebox, In This Moment, Lacuna Coil, The Halo Method, Nonpoint, Love & Death (with Brian “Head” Welch), Aranda, Art of Dying, Young Guns, Crash Kings, Butcher Babies,Scorpion Child, Wilson, American Fangs, Digital Summer, and Andy Wood & The Amalgam.

The 5-day ShipRocked cruise--fueled by Monster Energy--will also feature a special onboard DJ set by Neil Sanderson of Three Days Grace and a comedy set from Big Jay Oakerson. Rock and roll dance troupe Hells Belles Burlesque (www.hellsbellesburlesque.com) is slated for a pair of performances, and will be offering burlesque workshops during the cruise. In addition, Fuse TV’s “Mistress Juliya” Chernetsky will join Kayla Riley of SiriusXM Radio and Ralph Sutton of Tour Bus Radio as guest emcees for ShipRocked 2014.

Guests are encouraged to enjoy all that the Norwegian Pearl has to offer, including luxurious accommodations, 16 delicious dining options, 13 bars and lounges, casino, spa, fitness center, a chic bowling alley, rock climbing wall, sports court, two pools, hot tubs, and much more. In addition, ShipRocked guests will spend two full days enjoying concerts and activities on a private beach on Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas. The island features a large performance area on the beach with full production for rock shows and offers various island excursions such as parasailing, snorkeling, canoeing and more.

Happy Anniversary, Glam Fans

It's December 3rd, 2013. That means today is the seventh anniversary of Bring Back Glam! It blows my mind that I've been updating this site every single day for the past seven years, but here we are. It's certainly been a fun ride and some of my best friends came about because of this site!

Neal Schon To Have Pay Per View Wedding

This is ridiculous. Neal Schon of Journey is getting married this month to Michaele Salahi and the couple will offer fans the chance to watch via pay per view.

From E! Online:

"Former Real Housewives of D.C. star Michaele Salahi and Journey guitarist Neal Schon have set a date—and so have the cable companies! The couple are planning get married Dec. 15 at San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts and their nuptials will be televised live on Pay-Per-View. True to the couple's musical roots (the first we heard of their romance was when the still-married Salahi turned up at Schon's concert), 'Neal & Michaele: The Winter Wonderland Wedding and Music Event' will also feature a performance by Journey, Tower of Power and other musical guests."

If you want to watch, it will cost you $14.95. Truly insane. To be fair, some of the proceeds will go to charity... but still. Nothing is private anymore and everything is a money grab.

Randy Rhoads Birthday Celebration Plans Announced

The Randy Rhoads Birthday Tribute weekend starts Friday, December 6^th and ends Saturday, December 7^th – open from 4pm to 9pm daily.  This will be a weekend to remember for all fans and friends alike. You will get to meet members of the Rhoads family, taste the Randy Rhoads wine, rock out to live music and see personal memorabilia that has not been shown for public viewing.

Delores Rhoads, Kelle Rhoads and Kathy Rhoads D’Argenzio~

Randy Rhoads is best known for his tour of duty with Ozzy Osbourne and his band, then known as The Blizzard of Ozz. Once Rhoads had officially joined, the band headed into the studio to record their debut album, titled Blizzard of Ozz. Propelled by Rhoads' neo-classical guitar work, the album was an instant hit with rock fans, particularly in the USA. They released two singles from the album: "Mr Crowley" and the hit "Crazy Train".  Rhoads left us March 19^th, 1982 in a tragic plane crash leaving us a huge void in music. His legacy of brilliant music will live forever in the hearts of the people – He was a true hero and legend.

Vince Neil Covers AC/DC

Vince Neil recently jumped on stage with the Sin City Sinners in Las Vegas to cover the AC/DC tune "Highway to Hell." The performance was part of Vince's grand opening celebration of his new restaurant and bar Tatuado Eat-Drink-Party! I'll let you watch the video and make your own judgements on the performance.

Both Versions of Queensryche Are Growing On Me

I'm a Queensryche fan and seeing the band ripped apart sort of sucks. The crux of it is, I really like the Todd La Torre fronted version of the band... but Geoff Tate is the voice that made the name famous. There have been plenty of sketchy performances by Geoff Tate's version of Queensryche floating around YouTube... but yesterday Blabbermouth loaded up a performance from Geoff from back in August. I have to say it's very good. A lot of people have left Geoff behind for Todd's version but I'm not ready to give up on him yet. What do you think?
