Def Leppard Plots Big Tour

Def Leppard is rumored to tour with Journey this upcoming summer. In a recent interview, Leps drummer Rick Allen said the band is doing a 60 date run. It will hit cities across America and Canada. Allen also said to expect an announcement soon. He didn't confirm if Journey was joining them on the ticket, but if the announcement is soon, my guess is that it's already a done deal. So who headlines in that situation? Def Leppard I suppose (and hope).

The two bands toured together back in 2006. I can't wait for summer concert season. Warm weather, long nights, great music. My favorite time of year. When the announcement happens, I'll post up the dates.

Poor Grandma...

Is it me or does this NOT sound like Stephen Pearcy? At any rate, I laugh every time I hear this version of "Grandma Got Runover By A Reindeer." It's from the 2008 album We Wish You A Metal XMas...And A Headbanging New Year!

You all know by now I'm not a big consumer of Christmas music by any stretch of the imagination. I'm really not much of a fan, period. I get my fill by hearing the songs pumped in to every store in the world starting before Thanksgiving. I have no reason to really listen to holiday tunes elsewhere... but for some reason I woke up this morning and just HAD to listen to this song. Maybe I needed the laugh. Regardless, enjoy your holiday weekend. If you have to go out to stores or travel today, you have my sympathy! I plan on going to the gym and then reading a book!

Classic Dokken Back Together Again

Classic Dokken is back together again. Yes, vocalist Don Dokken, guitarist George Lynch, bassist Jeff Pilson and drummer "Wild" Mick Brown, all got together in the same room in Los Angeles to film a music video for the song "It's Just Another Day." That song will be on the band's upcoming CD/DVD package. There hasn't been a new Dokken album with this lineup since 1997... I mean, I was a junior in high school back then. This seems to be pretty cool news. I look forward to the video and new album!

Happy Winter Solstice

It's the shortest day of the year, also known as the Winter Solstice. That also means we're just three days away from Christmas. You're probably pretty busy right now, bustling to shops and parties and work. Remember to take a few minutes out of the day for you.

The best part of the Winter Solstice for me is that we're on the upswing now - the days will begin to get lighter and thus seem longer. I despise that it gets dark at 5 p.m. - my office throws a party each March when the time changes!

For the spirit of the season, here's Steve Vai performing "Christmas Time Is Here."

Which One Of You Did This?

A zillion Christmas lights set to Warrant's "Cherry Pie." My kind of holiday celebration!

Studio Video Of New Crashdiet Singer

Here's your first chance to hear Gabriel Keyes as the lead singer of Crashdiet. The band just released a video of Keyes in the studio.

Crashdiet will release a new single on New Year's Eve and a new album in 2018. I'm looking forward to this and very hopeful for new glam!
