'Hair Metal' Is An Insult: Discuss

Sebastian Bach hates the term Hair Metal. He was tweeting about it recently and some of his fans were arguing with him. I get it and I agree mostly. There is a reason this site is Bring Back Glam! and not Bring Back Hair Metal!

What do you think about the term and Sebastian's opinion?

'No Time For The Summertime Blues'

Lukas Rossi, best known as the winner of the TV show Rockstar: Supernova has a new song. It is called "Summertime." The tune is peppy and catchy. It really does make you feel happy during this weird times. There are a lot of famous cameos in the clip, including Tommy Lee. What do you think?

'Black Eyes Blue'

Corey Taylor is best known as fronting both Slipknot and Stone Sour. I'm a big Slipknot fan. Today, Taylor announced his first solo album and debuted two tracks off the upcoming release. CMFT will come out in October.

Today, Taylor released "CMFT Must Be Stopped" and also "Black Eyes Blue." I just happened to be in the car when the iHeartRadio World Premiere of "Black Eyes Blue" happened and I was immediately impressed. My first reaction was, "That doesn't sound like Corey Taylor at all..." and then later "'Black Eyes Blue' fits right into our Glam scene!"

The Trailer For Metallica 'S&M2' Looks Incredible

At the end of August, Metallica will release a special boxset called S&M2. Last September, the band performed with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra to open the new Chase Center. That performance was a reprise of what they had done with the Symphony 20 years previously.

I cannot wait.

This New Poster Looks Cool

I am not a big collector of stuff. You already know that if you've been a longtime reader. I'm more of a minimalist and I get nervous around clutter. That said, I do like cool art for my walls and this new Motley Crue poster fits that bill. Iconic by Collectionzz will release the 1983-era print. The prints go on sale July 29th - time still to be announced. I do not yet know the cost. But I will be checking!

'Back In Black' Turns 40

It is hard to believe, but AC/DC released Back In Black 40 years ago this week.

The album is wonderful of course. Tracks from the album have dominated rock radio for all 40 years. I've written in the past that I cannot listen to "You Shook Me All Night Long" anymore. It has been played so much - and in so many places - it is just too much for me.

My favorite track on the album? That would be "Black In Back" of course. I also love "Hells Bells." Back In Black always reminds me of high school. The tracks were played at every dance, enough though I graduated in 1998. So the album was "old" then but still beloved by just about everyone in my class. Truly timeless.

Farewell Peter Green

Peter Green, the co-founder of Fleetwood Mac, has died. He passed in his sleep at age 73. Thank you Peter for giving us Fleetwood!
