RATT Announces Shows!

RATT - which is to say Pearcy, DeMartini, Croucier, Cavazo - have just announced some upcoming live shows! They did this with little fanfare. I didn't even receive a press release - I just stumbled on the shows by popping over to RATT's website. Then I noticed the band tweeted out the shows (but only a couple of them).

We can deduce that things are happening - maybe we'll get a new album after all!

Vince Neil Announces Tour

Vince Neil is heading out on tour and he's leaving the United States this time. He's starting in a couple days here in America and will then hit Germany and the Czech Republic for some festival gigs. I've seen Vince solo enough so I don't have the desire to do so again. That said, this is your only option to hear Motley Crue songs live now since that band is retired. Here's the tour dates:

March
3 - Shooting Star Casino - Mahnomen, MN
18 - Peppermill Hotel & Casino - West Wendover, NV
31 - Fort Hall Casino - Fort Hall, ID

May
20 - The Effingham Performance Center - Effingham, IL

June
2 - Harrah's Casino and Hotel - Council Bluffs, IA
17 - The Starlight Amphitheater - Oklahoma City, OK
24 - Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Biloxi, MS

July
14 - Bang Your Head Festival - Balingen, Germany
16 - Masters Of Rock Festival - Vizovice, Czech Republic

'Rock & Roll Road Trip With Sammy Hagar' Season 2 Set For Premiere

Rock & Roll Road Trip With Sammy Hagar will premiere on AXS TV Sunday, March 5. This is probably a show you'll enjoy, so definitely set your DVR to record. I'll be doing the same!

This season is 12 episodes. Sammy pops around to different parts of America and interviews famous musicians along the way.

The first episode of this new season will feature Metallica's James Hetfield. Here's a trailer for the entire season!

Black Stone Cherry Announces Tour

Of the modern rock bands out these days, I've always thought Black Stone Cherry to be one of the best. Honestly, I'm surprised they haven't "hit" more as their sound is commercial enough to get played on regular radio. Maybe it's because they are not pop enough? Montebello Rockfest Bands Announced

Here's another festival alert! Montebello Rockfest goes down June 22-25 in Montebello, Quebec, Canada. This is a big one with a lot of famous bands. Headliners include Rammstein, Queens of the Stone Age, Megadeth, Iggy Pop and many more.

Rammstein is a band I've never seen live. When I was in high school, there was a kid who sat behind me in a couple classes who was just obsessed with Rammstein. Like, he wanted to move to Germany to be closer to this band. I think they are a solid metal band for sure but I don't think I'd move around the world for them. Different strokes I guess.

Tickets for the fest are cheap - just $123 bucks. VIP packages also available too.

Rise Above Fest Bands Announced

Seether's Rise Above Fest just announced bands for the July event. This year, Korn and Shinedown will headline. This is the fifth year for the fest. I'm kind of stunned that Seether has a festival, let alone a successful one, but hell, good for them.

The Rise Above Fest is set for Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23 at Darling's Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, Maine.
