Here's the best video and song so far of 2017! It's "Hunter of the Heart" from Crazy Lixx. The song is on the album Ruff Justice.
The song is great with big choruses and snappy riffs and the video is a hoot with it's little story line. I also want to give a shout out to the fact that there are two guys both named Jens in Crazy Lixx these days. I actually know a real life Jens (he's German), so this made me laugh.

Last night in Minneapolis, MN, Billy Joel rocked a huge crowd. At one point, the piano man invited Axl Rose on stage for a surprise duet of the AC/DC song "Highway To Hell."
I happened to be up at 2 a.m. and noticed that "Axl Rose" was starting to trend on Twitter... and I of course assumed the worst, considering how things are going for rock stars these days. Imagine my surprise when the performance was the reason! What a great experience for all the fans at the Billy Joel show.
If you're into fast guitars, you might consider seeing Yngwie Malmsteen live. He's going on tour soon and he's hitting a lot of different areas. I've seen him before -- years ago at a festival. It was interesting and I'm glad I saw him, but I'm not the biggest fan and I won't lie and say I am. Still, if you're a fan of glam - and you obviously are if you're reading this - you need to see him live at least once.
This tour is in support of Malmsteen's 2016 album World on Fire.

This is both odd and unique: the Ronnie James Dio hologram is going on tour with the other members of Dio. This means you'll have the chance to hear the music of Dio live once again. The tour is called, naturally, Dio Returns. The tour is starting overseas and will eventually make its way to America next summer.
The hologram will use actual live vocals, so it will sound more natural. The hologram was created by Eyellusion.
It's an interesting concept to bring back a beloved musician from the dead, pair them with still living bandmates and hit the road. More holograms are in the works and I can't help but wonder who will be next.
Here's the first tour dates for Dio Returns:

Warning: the new Nitro track below is not what you expect. It sort of reminds me of Five Finger Death Punch. The band just released a lyric video for the song "It Won't Die" off their upcoming reunion album. The band is currently raising money online (see below) to produce and release a full album. Thoughts on this?
It's been three decades (apparently) since Quiet Riot released a proper video... but now the band is back with "Can't Get Enough" from the forthcoming album Road Rage. The new album comes out August 4.
It's not the greatest video of all time. You can tell it was done on a budget, but there's nothing wrong with that. I have to admit, Quiet Riot is doing a good job of publicizing this new album. I hope they sell quite a few copies.
