2013 M3 Rock Festival Set Times Announced

I won’t be at M3 this year – I have a prior commitment as my husband is running in the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon. I expect lots of comments about the festival from those of you attending this weekend. And if something cool happens, you can always tweet me @bringbackglam – I will be with you in Maryland in Glam spirit!

Reckless Love, 'Night On Fire' -- New Video

This has to be the most Glam video I've seen in a very long time. Reckless Love just released their clip for "Night On Fire." The song is from the band's upcoming third album.

The Apex of Stupid

Clearly we've reached the apex of stupid. I was going to post something totally different today, but that can wait. I just came across perhaps the dumbest thing on YouTube (and that's saying a lot). Three Metal guys painting a room... with their hair. Ridiculous.

AOL Music Shuts Down, Noisecreep Is Done

AOL Music is shutting down... and the entire staff found out about it yesterday. Apparently all the full-time music staff (i.e. not freelance writers like me) were gathered in a conference room and let go. This means the end of Spinner, The Boot, The Boombox and yes, Noisecreep. No reason was given for the sudden layoffs. In case you're wondering, I wrote for Noisecreep for four and a half years -- the entire time the site existed.

AOL Radio seems unaffected by the changes.

Get Ready: RATT Is Going To Tour

I don't have any information on this yet, but RATT sent out a Tweet last night that a tour is imminent. I was beginning to wonder if any of our beloved bands were going out this summer. So far, it seems pretty quiet when it comes to Glam and summer tours. Maybe we'll get some similar announcements in the next couple of weeks.

Meet The Beautifully Demolished

The Beautifully Demolished is a new straight-up rock band featuring D.K. Revelle, formally of Jetboy.

The band was formed just over a year ago in Los Angeles. Other band members include Robbi Black (drums), Jamie Moreno (guitar), Jimmy Minj (bass) and Finn Zevo (guitar). The band is actively working on their debut and they plan to tour soon. Their label is High Voltage Music.

Credit: The Beautifully DemolishedAlso, just for fun - let's caption this band photo. I do believe this is the best band photo I've seen in the past decade. There's a lot of trends going on here, no?

The Rolling Stones Bootleg Series

Props to Metalboy! for alerting this to me to something very cool. The Google Play store is celebrating the launch of music. Since Google owns the world, the big wigs there got together and found six unreleased Rolling Stones bootleg concerts. Google made sure to fancy up the mix for us to enjoy, too. And of course, when you have the power of Google, you can actually get members of the Rolling-freaking-Stones to sit down for some interviews too!

As an aside, the prices in the Google store seem really low. Most of the albums I looked up are less than six bucks. This is very competitive with Amazon.

Here's a half-hour of the series. Enjoy!
