Dirty Honey, 'Down The Road'

This is just incredible. Dirty Honey has added another clip from their pandemic "suitcase sessions." This video is for the track "Down The Road."

I swear, Dirty Honey is a breath of fresh air. Just raw talent and a love for music that shines through in each performance. I cannot wait for their new album... or to see them live someday. They should be the biggest band on the planet. I hope commercial radio supports them at least a little.

'Well Oiled Machine'

Steve Riley and his version of L.A. Guns have a new song out. It is called "Well Oiled Machine" and is from the upcoming album Renegades.

The song is fine. I will be honest: it did not "grab" me. I cannot help it, I prefer the Phil Lewis/Tracii Guns version of L.A. Guns. Of course, I wish Steve well and I know many here will be excited to buy Renegades when it is released.

Please Do Not Copy This

Tommy Lee just got some new face tattoos. I am not a tattoo person and I sure do not think they are a good idea on the face or neck. The new ink is of a Japanese phrase (no clue what it says) and then he also got some dots and music notes over his eye, too. Regular folks just cannot do this. Can you imagine going to a job interview with tattoos like this? It would be immediately disqualifying. Thinking of buying a new home? I bet most would shy away from a real estate agent with face tattoos. Need a surgeon? You will probably pick the woman who doesn't have giant words splashed across her neck, right?

This is judging a book by its cover for sure but perception in a lot of things matters. It is fine for Tommy to get as much ink as he wants. He is rich and famous and already covered in tats. He will never work a regular job or answer to anyone else. Regular folks do not have that luxury. My hunch is this new body art is part of Tommy's promotion for Andro. It is all about Instagram now I guess.

Another MORC Free Streaming Event - Featuring Junkyard

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 27, Junkyard will stream a free show on the Monsters of Rock Cruise Facebook page. 5 p.m. ET so don't forget. As Covid cases spike in the south and west, it is more important than ever to distance and do the right thing. Otherwise we are never going to be allowed to have live shows again.

I do not even remember the last concert I attended at this point. It has been that long. Like most folks, I am feeling stir crazy but there is no "normal" right now. These virtual shows are something at least. Grab a laptop, go to your patio with a drink and enjoy some "live" music.

Wash. Mask. Distance. This pandemic is not over and it is not going away anytime soon. At this point I do not see big concerts at all in 2020. The includes the rescheduled M3 Festival. Heck, early 2021 shows are a question mark in my mind now. Be safe. I really hope we can get together at a festival soon.

Behind The Scenes Of Those New Tommy Lee Videos

Fred Durst (yes, seriously) directed the videos for Tommy Lee's two new solo tracks, "Tops" and "Knock Me Down." The behind-the-scenes look is pretty much exactly what you would expect. I honestly did not know that Durst and Lee were so close. So good for them. When you are an only child like me (and my husband!) your friends become as close as siblings. So it is nice to see friends supporting each other. The songs still suck though.
