Jack Russell's version of Great White is hitting the road this summer -- right now, there's no Ohio date here, but more shows will be added. Roll call: who is going?

HOLLYWOOD, CA – (June 28, 2013) –GREAT WHITE featuring Jack Russell with his band of pirates are hitting the road to embark in a two month tour. The first show of the PIRATES LIFE TOUR starts at the World Famous Whisky A Go-Go in Hollywood, CA and then crossing the Nation.

Multi-Platinum original singer of GREAT WHITE still brings it to the stage belting out all the original beloved songs that made the band take a place in rock history. Russell will be performing all their greatest hits from "Save All Your Love," "One Bitten Twice Shy," "Rock Me" and more!

Avenged Sevenfold Announce New Album 'Hail To The King'

For fans of Avenged Sevenfold, there's great news: a new album is on the way soon!

Los Angeles, CA - June 27, 2013 - Avenged Sevenfold today announced Warner Bros. Records would release Hail To The King, their sixth studio album, on August 27, 2013.  Produced by Mike Elizondo, Hail To The King is the follow up to the band's 2010 release, Nightmare, which debuted at Number One on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart, Hard Rock Chart and Digital Chart.  On August 26th, one day before the release of Hail To The King, Avenged Sevenfold will play a free show for their fans at the Hollywood Palladium. The show is a special thank you to their fans and for fans to celebrate the release of the new album with the band.  Stay tuned for entry details, which will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Avenged Sevenfold's 5^th studio album, Nightmare, was also produced by Mike Elizondo and earned the band it's highest ever debut on the Billboard album chart when it took the Number One spot and spawned three Number One, hit-singles "Nightmare", "So Far Away" and "Welcome To The Family". "Nightmare" broke radio records and was the most played current song at Rock Radio for all of 2010.  The New York Times called the band "Downright inevitable," while Guitar World hailed "Avenged Sevenfold are the undisputed kings of modern American badass rock and roll. A worthy successor to Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses and KISS."

Throughout 2010 and 2011 Avenged Sevenfold toured the world nonstop. Tommy Lee In Drag, KISS In Makeup In New Pop Video

A pop princess type named Bonnie McKee just released a video for her song "American Girl." This wouldn't normally be news here except for the fact that Tommy Lee is in the clip (in drag!) and KISS appear in full regalia as well. You'll also see Adam Lambert, Katy Perry and a zillion other famous people. I don't really listen to this sort of music, but hey, I'll give anything a whirl at least once.

The Star Of The New Krokus Video Is... A Bulldog

Krokus recently released the album Dirty Dynamite. It's a straight up rocker with a lot of really solid tunes. The band chose to create a video for the "Dög Song" and it's a real clip with a storyline and everything! The first time I watched the video I sort dismissed it as childish... but on the second and third viewing I realized the awesomeness of the dog. I mean, the dog is living the rock n' roll life. I still think the clip is a little out of character for Krokus but good for them for trying something new. The song is a toe tapper too.

Playing On A Sound Stage To No One

Here's something I always wondered about: why did so many of our Glam heroes make music videos back in the day playing a concert... for no one. Was it purely cost? I get hiring extras adds a lot to production expense, and if that is the reason, then fine. Was it because the bands thought they looked cool prancing around for each other and no one else? Was it because any Glam metal video released between 1984 - 1989 received rotation on MTV anyway, and creating a huge concept was just a waste of time and cash? Maybe you have some opinions on the situation, so please share them in the comments section below. In the meantime, here's some classic "playing on a sound stage for no one" videos.
