The Tour Floodgates Are Opening...

I've been seeing lots of tour news on social media the past 72 hours or so. To me, this means the tour floodgates are opening! The Dead Daisies just announced their "Get Out Of The House" tour and I'm here for it.

There are lots of Midwest dates, including Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. There are also dates in Tennessee and Florida.

April 2021 New Music Playlist

It's almost the end of the month and that means another new music playlist. This month features new tracks from bands we love like Dirty Honey and Motorhead plus surprises by Electric Boys, Escape The Fate and Gilby Clarke. The songs were all chosen simply because I like the bands and the tracks - and I just want you to know they exist. The Motorhead track is from Louder Than Noise... Live In Berlin. The other music highlighted is new. Expect a full review of the Dirty Honey album here soon. For now enjoy "Another Last Time" and all the rest I've curated for you.

M3 Rock Festival Announces July 4th Weekend Date

M3 Rock Festival will happen this year - over Independence Day weekend, Friday, July 2 - Sunday, July 4 at Merriweather Post Pavilion near Baltimore in Maryland. Lineup is below. This is a hard weekend - if folks are comfortable traveling, they likely already have plans and things like hotel rooms and flights are extra expensive because of the holiday. It is also usually crazy hot on July 4th weekend in America, too. The lineup has shifted from what was originally announced. It looks like Tesla is no longer part of the bill.

Tickets are still available.

News Of The Week Roundup: Week 16, 2021

A pretty big week of news. The biggest story? Former cop Derek Chauvin was convicted of murdering George Floyd. The jury didn't even take very long to deliberate - just about 10 hours. It was the right decision.

Get your second COVID-19 vaccine dose, people. Especially if you live in America where vaccines are now plentiful. So many people in other countries are desperate for the vaccine, including our friends in Canada. Get fully vaxxed so we can have shows again!

Ted Nugent got a bad case of COVID-19. Of course, he called it a hoax up until he was sick... I guess getting a vaccine and wearing a mask isn't so stupid, after all.

The Oscars telecast is tonight. I don't care and won't be watching, but I will scan Twitter quickly to see what colors are "in" for ballgowns this year.

This is the single most significant article I've read in ages - and it must have resonated with a lot of other folks, too because it definitely made the rounds on traditional media the past week. Please give this a read - it sums up how so many of us are feeling these days.

... and I leave you with this: Dee Snider is not wrong here.

South of Eden - 'I Barely Know Her'

Speaking of South of Eden from yesterday's Alice Cooper post, our friend Kenny Ozz actually sent me the clip below several days ago on Facebook messenger. Originally known as Black Coffee, the band had to change names for legal reasons. Under the name Black Coffee, the band had a song that made it to radio called "I Barely Know Her." Great stuff.

South of Eden is actually playing about an hour from my house tonight. Pretty sure Kenny is going and maybe he will give us a little review in the comments. I'm sure it will be awesome.
