M3 Rock Festival 2018 Bands Announced

M3 Rock Festival will go down May 4,5,6 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. The bands for this year were announced yesterday. It didn't really go well. According to Facebook comments, people are overwhelmingly disappointed with the bands. Headliners include Kix, Queensryche and the Marshall Tucker Band. Click the link below for a little more info... and to check out the comments. I won't be attending. This is the same weekend as Aerosmith at JazzFest in New Orleans, so I'm already committed.

Download Festival Lineup

Let's talk about the Download Fest lineup for a minute. I mean, it's probably the best lineup of any fest in 2018. There's a good mix of old and new. Heavy and melodic. It sure looks fun. If only I had the cash - I'd be at Castle Donnington from June 8 - 10 this year.

Loudness, 'Soul On Fire' -- New Video

Music videos are in their heyday once again. No longer used on MTV or Vh1, the clips are used as promotional tools for the digital space. About a decade ago I thought the music video was dead for good. I mean, why would any band spend money on something that no one would ever see? I'm so glad videos continued - they are a snapshot in time of some of our favorite acts.

A few weeks ago I told you Loudness was releasing a new album. That album is called Rise to Glory and it's available now. To go along with that album is the video for "Soul on Fire." It's on the melodic side of metal. Enjoy your Saturday!

Richie Kotzen 'The Damned' -- Music Video

We have new Richie Kotzen music today! He just released a video for his new song "The Damned." The song isn't part of an album or anything. Kotzen just wanted to record and release some new music. It's the way of the world now, of course. As always, Kotzen's music just keeps getting better. Totally underrated.
