Wig Wam -- 'Forevermore'- New Song

Wig Wam just released another new track from their upcoming album Out Of The Dark. The song is "Forevermore" and it has a heavier, darker vibe than Wig Wam tracks of years past. I still dig it.

The Norwegian band will perform on the upcoming Monsters of Rock cruise set to sail this Spring.

Dokken Announces Short Winter Tour

Lots of tour news today and I am especially interested in this one: Dokken will tour the midwest February and March and more dates will be announced.

The tour news comes on the heels of the release of a Dokken box set of their four classic Elektra-era albums. The box set is available on LP or CD.

Tempt 'We Will Rock You'

Well, it's Championship Sunday in the NFL world. That means by the end of the night, we will know which two teams are going to the Super Bowl. Cincinnati is once again playing the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship. The game is at home for Kansas City. I need to quit watching early coverage because it is making me panicky. Plus, the NFC plays first, and I need the San Francisco 49ers to win. Why? Because I have always felt it is Cincinnati's destiny to win its first Super Bowl as a franchise against the 49ers. That is probably silly, but it's always a weird feeling I've had.

Meanwhile, in the Glam world, Tempt has a new cover out! They just released their take on Queen's "We Will Rock You." The cover song is raising money for Brian May's charity "Save Me Trust." The video uses a lot of concert footage from large festivals including Download and Graspop Metal Meeting. Enjoy!

New Vinyl Haul! How About You?

I was (finally!) feeling well enough to leave the house last night for the first time in what felt like forever. I went out to eat and also to a famous little store near Cincinnati called Plaid Room Records. A good photo of the place is below (and some Bengals tweets because they have a partnership with Plaid Room, so you can actually see the inside of the shop in the moving video).

Anyway, I got a nice haul of new records last night including the famed 2011 remaster of Fleetwood Mac's Rumours, Notorious B.I.G. Life After Death, the remaster of Def Leppard's wonderful and underrated Retro Activ and Ice Nine Kill's Welcome To Horrorwood on VHS black vinyl (that's just one of the special editions available).

I'm pretty stoked for all these new records and to keep adding to my collection. I am really excited to listen to the Fleetwood Mac. It's supposed to be the most pristine of all the pressings - even better than the original! I wonder if it can compete with the sound of the remastered Steely Dan Can't Buy A Thrill? Because that is one album that sounds amazing on my player. Another album I have that just cooks is the remaster, re-issue of Def Leppard's Hysteria. My Glam, the sound on it is just majestic. Anyone else buy any cool new records lately?

I Did Not Have Mark St. John News On My Bingo Card For This Week

KISS will release an official live recording featuring Mark St. John on guitar! In fact, this is apparently the only soundboard recording of St. John with KISS that even exists. It's another addition to the Off The Soundboard series. The show was recorded in Poughkeepsie, NY during 1984. So shut up and take my money I guess! The two-record set is available for pre-order now for $55. It ships in early April.

Mark St. John was only with KISS during the Animalize days. You can see St. John in the "Heaven's On Fire" video which also happens to be my favorite KISS track! St. John He developed bad arthritis and couldn't play live during most of the Animalize tour. Mark died in 2007.

Joe Elliott Guests On Ghost Track, 'Spillways'

Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott is a big fan of Ghost. He's taken that fandom to a new level and now appears on the track "Spillways" with the band. "Spillways" is on Ghost's album Impera. The version featuring Joe Elliott is new and also happens to be Elliott's favorite track on Impera.

'I Live Too Fast To Die Young' -- Michael Monroe, New Video

Glam warrior for all time Michael Monroe has a new album called I Live Too Fast To Die Young and now he's released a video for the song of the same name. The song features Slash on guitar, so you know it rocks. Michael is doing a short European tour this winter to support his new record.
