I came across a video from HSAS the other day and I was blown away because this is a group I hadn't thought about in forever.
HSAS is Hagar Schon Aaronson Shrieve. That is Sammy Hagar, guitarist Neal Schon, bassist Kenny Aaronson and drummer Michael Shrieve. The band lasted for like a year because the members were obviously pretty busy with their main projects. Still, the quartet put out an album on Geffen called Through the Fire and a single called "Whiter Shade of Pale."
Folks that got to see HSAS live are very lucky!
This is a late summer run so I sort of wonder if earlier dates will be added, but we will see. Regardless if there is a date near you, my advice is to go. I've seen every act on this bill live and they are all awesome - especially Cooper of course!
The video isn't anything fancy and is made special by Tracii's orange and white barncat. The furball hangs out the entire time Tracii is playing, which means the cat is used to hearing the guitar a lot. I really enjoy the solo!
The NFC and AFC championship games are tomorrow. That means we will soon know who is headed to Las Vegas and the Super Bowl.
We now know that Journey will play the halftime show for the NFC game between the San Francisco 49ers (boo!) and the Detroit Lions (yes, cat bros)! Kickoff is set for 6:30 pm ET. Watch on Fox.
Of course, Journey is a legendary San Francisco band, so it makes sense why they were chosen as entertainment. Still, their most famous song mentions "south Detroit" so you gotta love this for both teams. Just "Don't Stop Belivin'" Lions fans.
"Undone" features vocals by Brion Gamboa. I really like this track and it is my favorite of the three releases so far. Hopefully it gets some airplay on Sirius Octane. What do you think?
