M3 Rock Fest Officially Rescheduled

M3 Rock Fest will now be Labor Day weekend. The fest was originally set for the first weekend in May. Just a couple days ago I shared the tone deaf post from the organizers who promised to either hold the fest as planned or postpone. There was no way M3 was going to happen the first weekend in May. Heck, Virginia just locked down for another 9 weeks! RATT and Tyketto are off the bill now but Winger has been added. If you have tickets they will be valid for the Labor Day event.

This Seems Tone Deaf

I've been keeping an eye on the M3 Rock Festival page, basically waiting for the eventual cancellation. So many shows and festivals have already canceled that will take place well after M3. Last night, the official page put up a notice that the show would either take place on the original date (yeah right) or be postponed to later in the summer. Rescheduling this thing will be a nightmare. Remember, the festival right now is set for May 1 - May 3.

Download Festival Canceled

This is a huge one. The Download Festival, held each year in the UK, is now canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The festival was going to happen June 12-14 at Castle Donnington. Iron Maiden and System of a Down were set to headline. You can get a refund or keep your ticket for next year.

Fozzy Reschedules Tour

Back in my Dayton City Paper days I interviewed Chris Jericho of Fozzy. A nice guy and I like some of his music. Like the rest of the entertainment world, Jericho's livelihood has been put on hold. Fozzy was set to tour - but has now pushed dates back into late summer. I hope the dates were pushed enough. COVID-19 isn't going away anytime soon.
