Somedays, You Just Need Funk

Sunday, Funday and this one is a good one for some funk. I was kind of on a Bruno Mars kick today so naturally that leads to my beloved Silk Sonic. That's the duo of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak.

I started watching some performance clips and just kept smiling. The crowd screaming is wild and everyone is dancing and having fun. Not a care in the world! The touring guitarist in the first clip is Mateus Asato from Brazil. He got "known" for playing tiny clips on Instagram. (Mars and Paak play most of the guitars on their Silk Sonic debut).

My very favorite Silk Sonic live performance that I've seen is when they did the Billboard Music Awards in 2022 for their version of "Love's Train." Seriously listen to the crowd going bonkers. Freaking epic:

Moggs Motel, 'Apple Pie' -- New Video

Phil Mogg has a new band called Moggs Motel. The band's self-titled debut is due September 6. Phil just shared the song "Apple Pie" from the album. It's what you would expect from the legendary UFO frontman!

There is a lot of potential here and I want to hear more!

Sign Me Up and Release The Dates!

I'm totally here for another Poison tour with all the hits we know and love. I'm totally here for the endless complaints about the same setlist, tour after tour. I'm totally here for another night in the summer sun, listening to some of my favorite songs with my friends while watching Bret Michaels saunter. I'm here for all of it. Bring it on.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse Cancel Remainder of Tour

Another reminder of our favorites getting older because time waits for no man. Neil Young and Crazy Horse have canceled the remainder of their tour. This includes shows as far as three months out from now.

The cancellation is for illness for a couple members - but it isn't clear who is sick. The official statement leaves open the possibility for some of the missed dates to be rescheduled.

Stryper, 'End of Days' -- Lyric Video

To celebrate their 40th anniversary tour, Stryper just dropped a lyric video for their new song "End of Days." The band is touring this fall and you can see the dates below on from the shared Facebook post.

'Just Like '73' - Lyric Video

Here it is! The new Def Leppard video for "Just Like '73." I love this band, I swear. The nostalgia in the clip is great!

Mark Your Calendars: New Def Leppard Video

Def Leppard will release an official video for their new track "Just Like '73" tomorrow. Seems like the video will be animated. Comes out at 11 am ET on YouTube and socials.

Related: I picked up a Def Leppard ballcap on Saturday that I totally didn't need. It has leopard spots (of course it does) and Eric rolled his eyes when he saw it in my hand. I should do an inventory of all the band-related merchandise I own. It's probably a lot but nowhere near what some of you guys have!
