Back In Time With Def Leppard

No, it's not 1996 again, but Def Leppard has just re-released Slang. The deluxe reissue came out not too long ago and it includes lots of previously unreleased songs. To promote the release, Def Leppard just created a lyric video for the song "Where Does Love Go When It Dies."

I know this reissue is a head scratcher to some, but Slang has always been one of my favorite Def Lep albums. I ordered my copy.

A New Motley Crue Album?

MetalXS TV recently did a video feature on the Motley Crue farewell tour. Two things jumped out at me here: the body language between Tommy Lee and Mick Mars and the ongoing possibility of a new Motley album. First, is it me, or did Tommy and Mick choose to sit a mile apart from each other? Second, it's interesting to me that Mick sort of leaves the door open for a new album and not just a handful of songs. Curious that he didn't just shoot down the possibility 100%. I actually think Tommy's answer of possibly recording new music for the movie, The Dirt, makes a lot of sense and will probably happen.

Tigertailz Release New Video

Real Glam people. Tigertailz just released a video for their single "One Life." The song is from the album Knives.

My one negative comment regarding the video is this: the footage is live (and seemingly organic) which I love. I don't quite understand how your average rock show lines up with the anti-war message of the song. I suppose it's not that big of a deal. Just seemed to clash a little to me. What do you think of the track and video?

The Next Guns n' Roses Residency Is On

Guns n' Roses will play a second Las Vegas residency called No Trickery! An Evening Of Destruction. The residency will take place at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino from May 21 through June 7.

Tickets go on sale Friday, February 21 at 10 a.m.

The big "official" announcement is set for today. Should be interesting.

Gary Clark, Jr. Is Everything

I've been getting into guitarist Gary Clark, Jr. lately. He's been popping up on award shows, thus getting some wider attention. I went digging around for video clips of his past performances last night and I came across this little gem produced by Guitar Center. Gary performs the track "Numb" and it is amazing. Check out the solo around the three minute mark. This guy is going to be a legend - mark it.

'Sweet Child O' Mine' -- Jazz Version

This is very, very cool. Singer Miche Braden and Postmodern Jukebox joined forces for a jazz cover of the Guns n' Roses classic "Sweet Child O'Mine." The result is pretty darn amazing. I love when artists jump genres, proving that music really has no limits.
