The 2012 edition of the Halfway Jam is set to go down July 26, 27 and 28 in Royalton, MN. The fest will feature Stryper, Jackyl, .38 Special, Lynch Mob, Bang Tango, Trixter and most importantly Queensryche with Todd La Torre on vocals. Is anyone planning on attending this fest? If so, I'd like to talk to you about a review -- especially of the Queensryche show. Please email me at allyson@bringbackglam.com if you are attending this event.
Happy Independence Day, Americans. Enjoy your middle-of-the-week vacation day.
The lyric video for the new KISS song "Hell Or Hallelujah" is here! I think it sounds very old school KISS. This isn't the best KISS song of all time, but it's definitely promising. KISS will release Monster on October 16. "Hell Or Hallelujah" is the first single from that record.
Queen played a concert with Adam Lambert Saturday night in Kiev, Ukraine (6/30/12). It's maybe the Glammest thing I've seen in a very long time - and the entire show is on YouTube! Queen + Adam Lambert are playing Moscow tonight. The short tour will also hit the UK and Poland.
The Kiev show raised a ton of money for AIDS Research, which is great news.

Ever heard of The Treatment? They’re the band who will be opening for KISS and Mötley Crüe as part of The Tour this summer. If you haven’t checked them out yet, you really should.
The band describe their own music as ”classic rock,” but there are definitely some Glam influences. Their debut album This Might Hurt came out last year, and they recently premiered their latest video for the song ”Nothing To Lose But Our Minds.” I really enjoy both the song and the video. What do you think?
Even though they are young, they aren’t exactly beginners: they have already toured with Alice Cooper, Steel Panther and Thin Lizzy in Europe, besides their own headline tour and festival gigs. I saw them myself when they were opening for Steel Panther in Paris in March and they put up a great show. It's not often a band you've never heard of gets you hooked after only a few songs, but they did. I’m really excited to see them again this summer with KISS and Mötley Crüe.
Since I saw the new video, their album has been on constant repeat in my speakers and as I said - if you haven’t checked them out already - you definitely should! And if you do have a ticket for The Tour, be sure to be there on time. I assure you it will be worth it!
Happy July and rejoice! The Darkness just released the video for “Everybody Have A Good Time.”
I'm pretty sure this video uses historical footage of pre-2008 private meetings at Lehman Brothers when the firm was basically guessing what sort of low-grade tranches to package and resell inside of collateralized debt obligations (CDOs). You know, before the entire banking collapse. Of course we can't be sure. At any rate, the video is cute and clever.
The song will be on the upcoming album Hot Cakes, due out at the end of August.
