Mr. Big are back with new music. The band will release Defying Gravity on July 21. To celebrate this new album, the band just released a video for the title track. This is the first Mr. Big album since the 2014 release The Stories We Could Tell.
Flag this: Tom Keifer canceled a few solo shows over the past few days due to vocal cord issues. He has famously battled vocal cord paralysis and is seemingly doing much better.
Apparently, this past week his vocal cords were so strained a doctor advised him not to sing. Presumably Tom is better now as his official Facebook is promoting the Loud n' Lima gig coming up next weekend. I wish him well and I know you do, too.
If you can believe it, the guys in Jackyl are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their first album. To mark the occasion, they are releasing a compilation called 25, which comes out July 28. This is basically a greatest hits package with two previously unreleased songs. You can pre-order the album now on the band's website. Here's the tracklisting:
01. Down On Me 02. When Will It Rain 03. The Lumberjack 04. Push Comes To Shove 05. Secret Of The Bottle 06. Dumb Ass Country Boy 07. Cut The Crap 08. Kill The Sunshine 09. My Moonshine Kicks Your Cocaine's Ass 10. Just Like A Negro (featuring DMC) 11. Screwdriver 12. Encore 13. Favorite Sin 14. Rally 15. Just Because I'm Drunk 16. Redneck Punk (new release) 17. The trailer for the mini documentary Hysteria at 30 is here. Def Leppard is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Hysteria with many different reissue packages. The mini documentary is also part of this celebration. I decided that I would go ahead and get the big package when released on August 4. I want all the b-sides and extended versions of the standard Hysteria tracks. What I most want is the audio of "In The Round, In Your Face."
In the short trailer below, Joe Elliott talks about embracing the era and his band's unique sound. I love that. Def Leppard really did rule the 80s - and Hysteria is the reason why.
Here we go: a new L.A. Guns video featuring both Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis! The video is for the song "Speed" from the upcoming album The Missing Peace, due October 13. It's great seeing Lewis and Guns back together again in the same band. Apparently Tracii has been working on the music for The Missing Peace for over a decade - so this better be good!
Quiet Riot just posted "Wasted" online for fans. It's from the album Road Rage. Do you think Nikki Sixx got a writing credit on this, because that intro sure sounds like "Dr. Feelgood."
I have to say, I'm not too impressed with this one. Agree or disagree?
Ozzfest Meets Knotfest goes down November 4 and 5 at the Glen Helen Amphitheater and Festival Grounds in San Bernardino, California. The lineup was just announced and headliners include Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie and Stone Sour. There are heaps of bands on the two-day bill and tickets go on sale Saturday. Could be a fun fall festival if you're in the area.
