Alice Cooper Announces Fall Tour

Alice Cooper is among the best live. He's such a hard worker, always on the road and releasing new music and he really doesn't need to do either anymore. I'm glad he keeps on chugging! One Billion Streams (Again) For Queen

Sonic Temple Fest Tickets On Sale Today

Just a reminder - I know a lot of folks who read this site attend Sonic Temple Fest (formerly Rock on the Range). Tickets go on sale this morning, so act fast. Metallica is headlining two nights. I suspect tickets will move quickly.

No Human Is Limited

This post has nothing to do with music. It's just an awesome feat of humanity that should be shared. Eliud Kipchoge ran a sub-2 hour marathon in Vienna this morning. The first person in history to do so! The 34 year old Kenyan trained specifically for the 1:59 Challenge, sponsored by petrochemical company Ineos. Since this wasn't an open event, it isn't an official world record. The point was to prove that science and man could work together to get this done with enough research, focus and talent. Truly amazing!

Metallica Announce Festival Tour

Metallica will play two different shows at five different 2020 festivals in America. The news came out yesterday and one of the band's stops is at Sonic Temple (formerly Rock on the Range). I will probably try to go to one of their shows at Sonic Temple. I don't think I need to see both. The quandary is that the sets are supposed to be completely different. So I guess it is a crapshoot as to which era of Metallica you might get live.

I was sort of surprised at all the negative comments on the Sonic Temple Facebook after this announcement. Most folks were not happy. They feel they've been screwed out of a headliner. Metallica is one of the biggest bands in the world - you just can't please people anymore.
