Guns n' Roses Will Tour America
Either Hell froze over or Axl Rose is broke, because Guns n' Roses are touring America - and soon. So far, there are three dates confirmed. That might not sound like much, but for Axl's Roses, I think it's a ton.
Here are the dates:
10/28/11 - Orlando, FL - Amway Center
10/29/11 - Miami, FL - American Airlines Arena
11/12/11 - Kansas City, MO - Sprint Center
Notice the dates - I feel confident in predicting many more dates to come. This looks like the shell of a tour routing to me! None of these dates work for me, so I'm holding out hope that Guns n' Roses will play in Ohio (or close to it) when I'm not on Shiprocked. So, what are your predictions for this tour: will Axl actually pull it off? Will you attend?

Also, let's not forget what he did to Erin Everly and Stephanie Seymour (the two we know about).
Plus, as I've flagged for all ya Heavy Metal Chillin's out there in Cyberville before, just close your eyes and listen to Rose's vocals -- sounds like someone's 85-year-old grandmother screaming at the top of her lungs, if you ask me.
Glamrocker Arch! Too funny! I suppose yer right except for the fact, believe it or not, I actually liked some of the trax off "Chinese Democracy"...
Still, what the h*ll -- as I've mentioned before ta all ya Hair Metal Chillins -- Seen 'em 5 times including 1987 at The Bayou in D.C. where Slash announced to the world, and I quote, "Normally I don't talk, but I just had to tell everyone, this will be the last club date we ever play cuz we're off after this until we
join Motley Crüe on tour in 2 weeks." Thunderous applause.
Oh, and A-hole, er, um, I mean, uh, Axl, kept yappin' 'bout Poison... and I quote, "y'know the problem with Poison is their fake... They're not real..." right then I knew the guy was a weirdo. I mean, c'mon -- like G'n'R had to ever worry their "Sweet lil' Child O' Mine" about Poison.
Regardless, it was a legendary performance as they barnstormed a club one last time. And when I left I noticed that exact same bus from the "Welcome To The Jungle" video parked out front, the sign in front, above the windshild, still showing "Hollywood", just as it did in the vid.
p.s. Saw 'em 4 more times -- The 2 infamous 1992 "Use Your Illusion" Tour warm up shows at The Ritz in NYC and twice more
at Madison Square Garden shortly after which was also not long after Izzy quit.
p.s.s.t. I wonder if Axl will, true to form, keep us waiting and for how long.
original 5 (Adler) is GnR. Even then don't think we need to see it.
they peaked at Welcome. Illusion LP's were already to much in Axl and his narcicism. Listen to welcome and let that transport you back to 1987. This band has nothing to offer anymore. sorry
And, I agree, a lot of "Use Your Illusion" was crapped up by Axl's ignorant Popped-Out Narcissism (i.e. "November Rain"), but there is reason to create 1 discs worth of music out of the 2 CD set -- Izzy's stuff.
He's the one most sorely missed in this current charade, as he was the principal songwriter in the original outfit.
Still, I'll wait until they announce support acts to decide whether I'm going or not. I dig Sebastian Bach, but hopefully they go with someone different this time.
as for the tour, I won't go (but never say never). this tour was part of a agreement due to litigation of Axl andhis hired guns cancelling their last tour and axl was sued for 5 million. He countersued and the plea negotiation stipulated that he would have to complete a US tour...therefore, this tour.
If most reviews are stellar and he shows up on time and produces quality work, then a fan should attenbd. If not, attend a quality show instead at your local club. Unfortunately,I don't see Axl pulling this off.
And "On Top Of The World" woulda been so much better with Roth singin' it, tho it ain't no "Runnin' With The Devil".
"November Rain" sucks no matter which album it was intended for, though I appreciate the scoop.
